…and the House.

I wrote this to Sen. Feinstein and Sen. Boxer, both of whom I abhor to my core.

I know you won’t listen to me, but I’m going to say it anyway.
NO AMNESTY!
Stop destroying America with foolish legislation that does more harm to America than any other monstrosity you in the Senate have created outside of Obamacare.

Americans need jobs now.
Americans are overwhelmingly against amnesty.
We want our borders secure and we want you to enforce the laws as they are now.

This is a complete failure on your part.
I am disgusted with you and the other clown that calls herself a Senator as well.

I am one pissed off American because I am paying attention to you people destroying this country one amendment at a time.

Do what you said you would do when you swore your oath to the Constitution.
You are a liar and should be tossed out on your ass.

You aren’t listening to us and this one will cost you. No fucking amnesty. Secure the border. That’s all you need to start with.
Secure the border, then you can come back and look at the other issues.

Stop rewarding criminals and their children over America.
America has the right to secure borders and nothing you idiots have done so far has come even close to that.

Not the Senate’s version.

Not the House’s version.

America’s version. Close the borders. Make it a national security priority. 18 months and it could be done.

Stop pandering to criminal illegal aliens.

Feel free to use any of this to write your idiots in the Senate and the House.

…a procedural move that the House can use to stop some of the Senate’s shenanigans.

Good read. I learned something new about Congress just from reading this column.

Former Senate secretary says ‘blue slip’ may be a key to stopping gun bill

House Speaker John Boehner could defeat Senate efforts to enact “universal background check” legislation with a simple procedural maneuver, a former Senate insider says. Elizabeth Letchworth, who spent 26 years in the Senate, rising to United States Senate Officer having been elected as the Secretary for the Majority and United States Senate Secretary for the Minority, and who currently runs the GradeGov.com internet resource for rating and communicating with members of Congress, released a video where she claims “[T]he Speaker of the House can uphold the Constitution and block the gun control bill and immigration reform if he uses the blue slip process.

“Article 1, section 7 of the Constitution — this is the Origination Clause — says that all bills … dealing with …raising revenue must originate in the House of Representatives,” Letchworth continues.

If the House believes this has been violated, “they initiate what is called a ‘blue slip process,’” which is debated for one hour and then voted on, she elaborates.

…at the age of 88.

H/T Ace of Spades.

Rest in peace sir.

He was a highly decorated WWII veteran. His Senate career started in 1963.

His Medal of Honor citation:

Second Lieutenant Daniel K. Inouye distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism in action on 21 April 1945, in the vicinity of San Terenzo, Italy. While attacking a defended ridge guarding an important road junction, Second Lieutenant Inouye skillfully directed his platoon through a hail of automatic weapon and small arms fire, in a swift enveloping movement that resulted in the capture of an artillery and mortar post and brought his men to within 40 yards of the hostile force. Emplaced in bunkers and rock formations, the enemy halted the advance with crossfire from three machine guns. With complete disregard for his personal safety, Second Lieutenant Inouye crawled up the treacherous slope to within five yards of the nearest machine gun and hurled two grenades, destroying the emplacement. Before the enemy could retaliate, he stood up and neutralized a second machine gun nest. Although wounded by a sniper’s bullet, he continued to engage other hostile positions at close range until an exploding grenade shattered his right arm. Despite the intense pain, he refused evacuation and continued to direct his platoon until enemy resistance was broken and his men were again deployed in defensive positions. In the attack, 25 enemy soldiers were killed and eight others captured. By his gallant, aggressive tactics and by his indomitable leadership, Second Lieutenant Inouye enabled his platoon to advance through formidable resistance, and was instrumental in the capture of the ridge. Second Lieutenant Inouye’s extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit on him, his unit, and the United States Army.

He loved America.

…then anyone who has ever donated to the Republican Party should cease to do so in the future. Not one fucking dime. Since the RINO fever has struck these idiots in the House and Senate, then we as donors should cease all donations to that Party. Invest your money on a Party that will actually represent your interests. The Republicans ain’t it.

Brent Bozell is saying as much:

A prominent conservative activist and fundraiser is reportedly threatening to steer donors away from the Republican Party if GOP lawmakers agree to raise taxes.

Brent Bozell, founder and president of conservative watchdog group Media Research Center, sent a letter to Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus on Wednesday promising to advise conservative donors to shun the party if its leaders in Congress sign a deal to raise taxes, The Hill reports.

Bozell — who is also the chairman of ForAmerica Inc., a Virginia-based nonprofit — has been active in conservative political circles for three decades and estimated he has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for a litany conservative causes.

“Reince, it pains me to say this, but if the Republican Party breaks its word to the American people and goes along with President Obama with tax increases, it will have betrayed conservatives for the final time,” Bozell wrote. “I will make it my mission to ensure that every conservative donor to the Republican Party that I have worked with for the last three decades — and there are many and they have given tens of millions to Republican causes — gives not one penny more to the Republican Party or any member of Congress that votes for tax increases.”

…the government wienies have decided to place the burden of the coming fiscal cliff on the backs of military retirees.

This will effect all military retirees, and those that intend to retire. This will in all likelihood hurt recruiting and retention efforts across the board as well.

Write the morons that represent you and let them know in no uncertain terms, that putting the fiscal cliff on our backs is not how it’s supposed to work. Tell those morons to do their damn jobs and stop screwing us over.

Avoiding the ‘Fiscal Cliff’ May be as Painful as Going Over It
Terry Howell

This week Tom Philpott reported that the Congressional Budget Office has put a red “laser dot” on future pay raises, TRICARE, and future retirement benefits.

In their report, the CBO says annual military pay raises have exceeded civilian wage growth over the last 10 years. In fact the CBO estimates that military pay increased by 52 percent from 2002 to 2010 while civilian wages rose only 24 percent.

The CBO says that any impact reducing pay increases might have on recruiting and retention can be mitigated by offering larger enlistment and reenlistment bonuses.   The CBO pay cap option would mean military pay would lose nine percent to private sector wage growth over the five-year period. The CBO also suggests an option to raise TRICARE enrollment fees, deductibles or copayments, actions also proposed by the administration last April.  For working-age retirees, those under 65, fee hikes should be phased over five years and use a “tiered approach” so that senior-grade retirees would pay higher fees than lower-ranking retirees.

…says Mitch McConnel.
We need to hold them to their word.
If the Republicans cave on this, the ones that vote for it need to be shit canned.
Unfortunately, Americans have a shorty memory when it comes to politics. Just look at the recent elections.

Ace has an excellent breakdown of the vote. 12% of voters made up their mind in the last week.

Obama is a failure and Americans failed in their duty to keep America a free republic.

Senate Minority Leader: No Tax Hikes
by Ben Shapiro

With conservatives across the country concerned about a rumored Republican cave-in in Washington, D.C. over tax policy, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is speaking out. Read his lips: no tax hikes.

McConnell said in an exclusive statement to Breitbart News:

One issue I’ve never been conflicted about is taxes. I wasn’t sent to Washington to raise anybody’s taxes to pay for more wasteful spending and this election doesn’t change my principles. This election was a disappointment, without doubt, but let’s be clear about something: the House is still run by Republicans, and Republicans still maintain a robust minority in the Senate. I know some people out there think Tuesday’s results mean Republicans in Washington are now going to roll over and agree to Democrat demands that we hike tax rates before the end of the year. I’m here to tell them there is no truth to that notion whatsoever.

…and she’s coming for all guns, starting with “assault” weapons.
This bitch has been going after guns from the time this douche was dropped on her head in the delivery room.
If you thought voting for a Democrat President and adding more Democrat Senators to the roster wasn’t without consequences, then you’re a bigger fucking moron than I thought possible.

Those of you that voted for Democrats, that are supposedly pro-gun, just royally fucked up. And you fucked it up for the rest of us. Assholes.

This is the face of evil:

Turn Them Over: Feinstein Moves To Ban ALL Assault Rifles, High Capacity Magazines, and Pistol Grips
Mac Slavo

The agenda no longer needs to be hidden from public view. With President Obama winning another term and democrats taking control of the Senate, the move to fundamentally change America from within has begun – with a vengeance.

We’re all aware of the restrictive gun laws in the State of California which require low capacity magazines for handguns, fixed magazines for “assault” rifles, and a whole lot of running around just to be granted the right to carry a concealed firearm.

Now, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who has championed gun control in her state for decades and co-wrote the original assault weapons ban enacted by the federal government in the 1990′s, wishes to bring even more stringent federal mandates to the land of the free.

What is being proposed by Feinstein is the most significant attack on the second amendment in history.

…and now that the Senate is deeper into the Democrat pocket, the UN Arms Treaty is back on the table.

This is a direct threat to the Constitution of the United States. It’s an assault on the Second Amendment by a world body that is corrupt to the core and will effect generations of Americans if it is allowed to go forward. With the new Senate make-up, it is a good possibility for this treaty to be ratified without any opposition from Republicans.

I suggest you go out and buy your guns and ammo as soon as you can. I will stock up on more ammo and am considering buying another weapon or two, funds permitting.

The official line from the government is that they aren’t going to accept a treaty that infringes on America’s rights. I don’t believe that for a second.

After Obama win, U.S. backs new U.N. arms treaty talks

(Reuters) – Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee’s call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.

U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies.

The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States – along with Russia and other major arms producers – said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.

But the U.N. General Assembly’s disarmament committee moved quickly after Obama’s win to approve a resolution calling for a new round of talks March 18-28. It passed with 157 votes in favor, none against and 18 abstentions.

U.N. diplomats said the vote had been expected before Tuesday’s U.S. presidential election but was delayed due to Superstorm Sandy, which ca

used a three-day closure of the United Nations last week.

An official at the U.S. mission said Washington’s objectives have not changed.

“We seek a treaty that contributes to international security by fighting illicit arms trafficking and proliferation, protects the sovereign right of states to conduct legitimate arms trade, and meets the concerns that we have been articulating throughout,” the official said.

“We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms,” he said.

Obama’s Lawless Bureaucracy Now Trying To Deliver an Unconstitutional Advantage to Big Labor

A “rule” — written by unelected bureaucrats — proposes that a vote on unionization must occur quickly after the union’s request of such.

Those in business and labor are expecting a vote in the Senate, perhaps as early as next week, on a joint resolution for congressional disapproval that would block the regulation. A Senate Republican leadership aide told The Hill that a vote on the measure was expected sometime over the next two weeks.

Business groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce oppose the rule, which would speed up union elections. Glenn Spencer, vice president of the Chamber’s Workforce Freedom Initiative, has said in the past that a vote on the joint resolution is likely the most significant labor vote this congressional session.

“This vote is coming soon, and it’s the Senate’s opportunity to tell the board that it has gone too far,” Spencer told The Hill.

Why is Obama’s bureaucracy pushing this?

Because a union might be campaigning for unionization a year before they ask for a vote. If they ask for a snap election, the company has no time to lobby against it.

Lou Dobbs was just discussing this on Fox. When a vote is taken 11 to 15 days after the request, the unions win almost 90% of votes.

I plan on supporting this effort. These morons in Congress need to know that the American people aren’t going to put up with their bullshit for much longer.

TEA PARTY February 1st?

So long as we have an inauguration drawing this sort of crowd and not a protest about our government blowing $700 billion of our dollars so that The Pigmen of Wall Street can continue to rob our nation blind, then saddle us with the bill when their bets go bad, we will see no solution.

I cannot take credit for the idea floated on the forum, but I do like it.

It is time for We The People to send a strong message to Washington DC – no more.  No more loading our children and grandchildren with debt.  No more bailing out speculators and bankers who made bets they knew were unsafe at the time.  No more bailing out people who came to Congress to demand the removal of leverage limits, got what they asked for, then blew themselves up with the very leverage they demanded to be able to use.

No more.

Therefore, on February 1st, which is more than enough time for Barack Obama to be seated in his chair in the West Wing, I am recommending an act of peaceful, lawful and yet unmistakable protest.
