…it’s time to arm our teachers. The teachers that voluntarily carry a gun should be given the training to do so and the Congress must repeal the gun free zone act = that has done nothing but create a killing ground for psychopaths because they know that no one will stop them until after they have done their worst.

A letter that you should copy and send to the editor of your local papers. Alan has given permission to circulate this in his email newsletter.
Please do so. I look at this as a letter to America.

Dear Editor,

I knew this sounded familiar — I’ve heard this whole fear-factor argument about the danger of arming teachers against known classroom hazards 49 times before. It played every time a state enacted a discreet-carry CCW gun law for its citizens. It was met with the exact same prejudice, scorn and derision.

But those blind fears about people exercising their right to arms have been proven wrong time and again. They were the empty paranoid rantings and bigotry of the news media, elected officials and ignorant masses. Their wildly promoted fantasies of death and mayhem desperately needed correction. What we got, and are getting again, is repetition.

The sky never fell, remember? Brainless bubbas left no pools of blood. Instead, crime dropped as millions of decent citizens armed themselves against crime. Only Mr. Obama’s crime-riddled Chicago holds out one state from the national tidal wave of peace.

So — do we really need to go through the old Dodge-City nonsense again now? Should you in the ethical media remain complicit? Are our schools’ teachers, their staffs and principals so hopelessly incompetent and without judgment that even with training they can’t match the performance of toothless gun-toting hicks in torn T-shirts, or even doctors, lawyers and professionals with CCW permission slips in their wallets?

America is not having a debate about guns, America is having a debate about hoplophobia — morbid fear of guns. The preposterous disarm-the-innocent proposals from the left are a false flag. Guns are good. Guns protect us. Guns save lives. Guns stop crime. Guns are why America is still free. That aspect of this debate is missing in your narrative.

The errant behavior of a psychopath is not grounds to disarm or infringe upon innocent people who did nothing. That is an irrational, sick, hoplophobic response that cannot work, and cries out for compassion and counseling — for the person who suggests it. You don’t want hoplophobes setting gun policy any more than you want aquaphobes as lifeguards.

Infringing upon the innocent to protect the innocent will not work. Denying a teacher the right to arms is a perverse policy choice fraught with ulterior motives and is constitutionally forbidden. Its very suggestion is a violation of the oath of office for elected officials and should be grounds for removal from office. Reporters should recognize this simple fact as swiftly as half the public does. The tearful emotional frenzy incessantly whipped up by the media does not change this.

Baby boomers universally remember rifle teams in high schools, varsity letters awarded for competition, bringing firearms to class to go hunting afterwards. The notion that guns and schools don’t mix, and that gun ignorance should supplant gun education is a modern one whose origin is murky and suspicious.

The disarmed-teachers policy currently in place has caused grievous harm. Those responsible for this gross denial of a specific enumerated civil right should be identified and held accountable, and the disarmed-teachers policy should end without delay.

Denial of human rights never advances the cause of freedom or the human condition. It is almost as if we are fighting the civil-rights battles of the 1960s again. A bill to reverse the egregious discrimination against the people responsible for our children’s safe education should be drafted and introduced immediately before further harm ensues.

…for years.

Gun control laws do not control guns. They control law abiding citizens and turns them into puppets of a tyrannical government.
I’m sorry for the loved ones effected by this shooting. This shooting would have occurred even if the assault weapons ban was in place. This shooting would not have occurred if we didn’t create gun free zones where people that are trained in the use of firearms were allowed to stand watch over our most precious commodity.

And as usual, the Democrats can’t let a good crisis go to waste and the first thing out of their collective cock holes is that we need to ban guns. Sorry morons, that isn’t going to fix the problem, ask Chicago. Guns have been banned in Chicago for years, and their crime and murder rate is through the roof. Guess who doesn’t have guns. That’s right, the people who need them to defend themselves against the thugs of Chicago. Rahm Emanuel approves, I’m sure.

My heart hurts for the parents and loved ones of all these victims. This tragedy is one that I can only imagine how they feel. My condolences to them all.

However, a knee-jerk reaction as is happening with the liberals and media, but I repeat myself, is not how this issue should be addressed.

What needs to be addressed is the fact that in America, mental illness (Read this: I am Adam Lanza’s Mother) is treated only after the person with the illness commits a crime. Then, they are placed into the correctional institutions around the country, where they are not given the kind of treatment that they need, are released again and bad things happen. In this case, the shooter had mental issues, but was not being treated for them effectively. Let’s ban mental illness.

A gun in the hands of any of the six adults that were killed, would have stopped the killing. Gun free zones are targets of opportunity that evil people will use to their advantage. I think that all teachers that are comfortable with firearms should be trained in defensive handgun tactics and be allowed to carry on school grounds. Once this is done, people that have issues, won’t think a school is a safe place to go kill people.

In China, where guns are banned, a knife wielding man stabbed 23 children. Let’s ban all knives.

Here’s a piece from Thomas Sowell.  A sane man if there ever was one.

Invincible Ignorance
By Thomas Sowell

Must every tragic mass shooting bring out the shrill ignorance of “gun control” advocates?

The key fallacy of so-called gun control laws is that such laws do not in fact control guns. They simply disarm law-abiding citizens, while people bent on violence find firearms readily available.

If gun control zealots had any respect for facts, they would have discovered this long ago, because there have been too many factual studies over the years to leave any serious doubt about gun control laws being not merely futile but counterproductive.

Places and times with the strongest gun control laws have often been places and times with high murder rates. Washington, D.C., is a classic example, but just one among many.

When it comes to the rate of gun ownership, that is higher in rural areas than in urban areas, but the murder rate is higher in urban areas. The rate of gun ownership is higher among whites than among blacks, but the murder rate is higher among blacks. For the country as a whole, hand gun ownership doubled in the late 20th century, while the murder rate went down.

Piers Morgan Moron is just another anti-gun POS. Ted Nugent puts him in his place.

H/T Argghhh!:

This is pretty pathetic and scary all at once. Freedom of speech and the right to bare arms are infringed all at once. This is the future of America, if Democrats get their way. No redress of grievances and no guns to defend yourself from their tyranny.

Wake up America. We don’t need another Britain.

via Why are El Paso residents ‘under the gun’ when peaceably addressing government? – National gun rights |

“Mayor: Freedom of speech is over,” a story filed this morning by Bob Unruh on WorldNetDaily reports.A citizen attempting to address the El Paso City Council was given only 70 seconds to speak by Mayor John Cook when he abruptly cut her off, declaring: “Thank you, your time is over. If you can’t remove yourself from the podium, I’ll have you removed. Yeah. You can take your freedom of speech outside.”This is spite of the fact that the First Amendment specifically articulates a right “to petition the government for a redress of grievances,” and all public officials, per Article. VI. of the Constitution specifically requires “all executive and judicial Officers…of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution…”

I know some of these are old news, but, I still have to make my comments…

Another failure of the “gun free” zone. This time in Huntsville, Alabama. A university professor that was denied tenure opened fire in a faculty staff meeting killing three and wounding three. If one of those faculty members was allowed to carry a weapon, then maybe, just maybe, a life, or two could have been saved.

Huntsville shooting another ‘gun free zone’ failure
By David Codrea

By now, most of us are aware of the shooting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. According to reports, a female biology professor denied tenure allegedly opened fire during a faculty meeting, killing three and wounding three others.
