…are retarded.

And for no other reason than I want to write about something other than politics.

I’ve got four dogs. Not one of them will chase a damn ball.
They might swat it, sniff it, chase it until it stops, but then, turn around and look at me like I’m nuts.

Give them a squeaky toy and two will play tug of war with it until it breaks and the stuffing is all over the house, or back yard.
Prior to those two, my wiener dog had a squeaky toy that lasted four years. She played with it daily and never tore it up.

But not one will bring a ball back to me. Sure, they’ll bring the squeaky back to me, but not a damn ball.

What gives?

Why won’t they bring back a ball?

Prior to this bunch I had one dog, a German Shepard that would bring the ball back and drop it at my feet. I can’t figure out how to get these guys to just pick it up and bring it back at all.

Then again, the Shepard obeyed my commands. In fact, if I told her to heal, she’d do just that and didn’t matter what was going on around her. Even in the presence of other dogs, she’d heal when I told her to.

These guys, barely sit when I tell them to.

They do come when I call them, they are good about that and they will stay with me when I tell them to, but other than that, they’re the laziest bunch of good for nothing dogs I’ve ever seen.

What a bunch of goofs.

Here’s the pack:

This is Ginger. She’s going on 2.

Ginger is a Jindo dog. That’s a Korean dog. Look it up. They’re good dogs, loyal and protective.

This is Gochu he’s a little younger than Ginger.

Gochu is a Chihuahua mix. He’ll sit there and look at you with that stupid shit eating grin on his face for an hour if you let him.

This is Lucy.

Lucy is a wiener. I like rubbing my wiener. dog.

This is Sammy. He’s the old man at 4 1/2.

Sammy is a PomChi, aka Pomeranian Chihuahua. Sammy was supposed to by my wife’s dog. That didn’t quite work out as planned. He attached himself to me.

Lucy is my dog, planned it that way and it’s true. She’s my bud.

Ginger was supposed to be mine, but she’s more attached to my wife. Has a beautiful bark. Deep and menacing. She’s  a puss though. Great watch dog, would help you steal my shit though.

Gochu, which means red pepper, or dick in Korean, is an odd ball. Very loving, but not the brightest in the bunch. He and Ginger are attached to each other like glue. Can’t call one without the other showing up too.

Evidence of the Gochu/Ginger bond:

They are inseparable.

This is usually the view I get when Lucy wants me to pay attention to her:

That’s her squeaker that I mentioned. It’s been since ripped to shreds by the other two.

Sammy is the boss. He’s the smallest of the bunch and doesn’t take any shit from them, or anyone else. In fact, he’s the biggest asshole of the bunch.
If he was bigger, I’d have to put a chain on him. He’s that anal.

Don’t let that innocent look fool you. He’s an asshole. But he’s pretty cool though.

Not one. NOT. ONE. will chase a ball and bring it back to me.

Good for nothing dogs.

I’ll get to it eventually, and even if you’re a delusional liberal, I’ll approve the comment.

Here’s today’s reading list.

I lived there in Colorado Springs in the 80s when I was stationed at Fort Carson.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrible fire.
May God Bless all of you and keep you safe.

Michelle Malkin has more, she lives there:

Day 5 of Waldo Canyon Fire evacuation: Blaze engulfs homes/historic ranch; 32k total evacuated; more dangerous winds, heat ahead.

By Michelle Malkin

Yesterday was the most horrific day since the Waldo Canyon Fire outbreak forced thousands of us out of our homes. My family is on Day 5. As I first told you over the weekend, our neighborhood is and remains on mandatory evacuation. Thanks to a compassionate CSPD officer, we were finally able to get the kids’ parakeets out of the house (it’s standing for now). Unfortunately, one of the birds died of smoke inhalation Tuesday afternoon. The kids are crushed. But we are thankful to be alive and grateful for the extraordinary efforts of first responders, police, fire, military, non-profits, individual volunteers, private philanthropists, and corporate/civic support.

My back is acting up today.

Nothing a little percocet can’t handle.

Percocet tends to make me a little loopy at times, so I’ll refrain from saying anything stoopid by keeping things to a minimum.

I’ll try to get something out today.

In the mean time you can read this:

I love bacon. Bacon should be part of every meal, including desert!
It looks like Burger King is going to go that route this summer, so lets all get out there and show our support for BACON!

And while we’re at it, I’m sure Moochelle Odouche-nozzle will be crapping all over herself in self righteousness indignation over the new offering.

Burger King bets on bacon sundae for summertime
Burger King serving up barbecue menu for summer _ bacon sundae included

NEW YORK (AP) — Burger King wants to lure customers this summer with a barbecue party — and a bacon sundae.

The world’s second biggest hamburger chain on Thursday is launching several pork, beef and chicken sandwiches as limited time offers. And for a sweet ending, the company is also offering a bacon sundae — vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon — that started in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this year.

The salty-sweet dessert clocks in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

The limited-time items are Burger King’s latest push to win back customers with a revived menu and reverse sliding market share, an effort that started soon after the company was taken private by the private equity firm 3G Capital in late 2010.

Earlier this year, Burger King launched its biggest-ever menu expansion including fruit smoothies, snack wraps and new salads. The items were intended to go after a broader audience of moms and families, a shift from the chain’s previous strategy of courting young men with calorie bombs.

Just stand next to an ugly bitch.

She doesn’t need to do that, but it still applies.

Here’s the story:

Curvaceous client says Gloria Allred only fought for publicity

Super lawyer Gloria Allred cares more about cameras than clients, according to the buxom banker who sued after getting canned by Citigroup, allegedly because her assets were a distraction to co-workers.

Debrahlee Lorenzana, who was fired in 2010, said Allred dropped her right around the time the press did, leaving her to take on the bank in arbitration.

Los Angeles Kings…

I’m not a huge hockey fan, but it is fun to watch sometimes. I caught the Kings win over the St. Louis Blues in the final game of their four game sweep. That was a good game, and I’m glad to see the Kings kicking some ass. They are the only 8th seeded team to beat both the 1st and 2nd seeds in NHL history. Good shit. I hope they hoist the Cup in the end.

Dustin Brown keeps Los Angeles Kings sizzling in 4-2 win over Coyotes

Brown continues his dominating postseason with the winning goal as Kings take opener of the Western Conference finals. The Kings have won six straight games and are 6-0 on the road in the playoffs.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Slowly, but surely, Kings captain Dustin Brown is edging toward the promised land, the place almost no one thought he might reach.

Inching toward awesome.

That means getting called “awesome,” or being described that way by Kings Coach Darryl Sutter, who holds that deep in reserve for his highest level of praise.

The Kings won the opener of the Western Conference finals, beating Phoenix, 4-2, at Arena on Sunday night, giving them six consecutive road playoff wins and leaving them three wins away from a spot in the Stanley Cup finals.

Two Years…

It’s been two years since my Dad past away. I miss him.
I kind of feel guilty that I didn’t spend much time with him as I got older, but he was the sort that really didn’t go out of his way to socialize with anyone either.
I guess the point is, try and spend as much time with family as you can. They, and you, won’t be around forever.

This is the last time we went fishing together with Dad. This was back in 2006.

Me on the left, my brother on the right.

We had our boys with us as well. The little guy is mine, not so damn little anymore, the other two are my nephews, also not so damn little.

The one in the Angels hat is 6’3″ 180 and 17 years old now.

Here’s a YouTube video of some highlights from him. He’s number 11.
