When will American Jews wake up to reality?
Their very existence is at stake.
Really boggles the mind.
Here’s a rabbi with some sense.

We Moved > Go To:

To my fellow rabbis:

I write to you at this time of dire trouble for our country and for Israel.

A few short weeks ago, America was under attack. Our ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were slaughtered by Muslim extremists. This was not a spontaneous “protest” against an admittedly stupid video. This was an organized military assault, coordinated expressly for execution on September 11.

Likewise, the “protests” in Cairo at the American embassy. Where our flag was shredded, and the black Islamist flag of al-Qaeda was raised in its place. Reliable sources say the US was forewarned of both attacks — probably by Israel. But America’s State Department ignored those warnings. Why?

The Obama administration’s reactions to these outrages is sadly typical. The next day, Mr. Obama flew off to Las Vegas to raise funds. And our government still apologizes for that inane video — made by an…

Good stuff.

…not as good as the MSM wants you to believe. A little common sense can go a long way in poking holes in their narrative.

This is good stuff here.

DAILY DOOM ANTIDOTE: Punching holes in media’s narrative that claims widespread support for Obama

Let’s do an exercise this morning (but not P90x or anything, because we all don’t have to be Paul Ryan…though, that would be nice).

So, the corrupt vintage media in Barack Obama’s Ministry of Truth (Minitrue for short) pushes a narrative that there’s more widespread support for him in 2012 than there was in 2008; this is, of course, required if the polls that Minitrue expects you to believe without question could possibly be accurate since in the polls that show Obama leading he’s snagging a bigger share of the vote in swing states than he did in 2008.  That’s just not possible, folks.

If you stop and think about it, you’ll see how irrational it is.

Saw this on FOX when I was watching American Dad. This is funny as hell.

…and why it’s a failure.
This is a good article that discusses the gun control debate.

I’d comment more on it, but I don’t have the time. You should already know where I stand on this issue.

An honest debate about gun violence
By Mark Goldblatt

Few things in American public life are as predictable as gun control advocates taking to the airwaves and editorial pages in the immediate aftermath of a shooting spree to call for more stringent gun control measures. The summer of 2012 was a banner season for anti-gun rhetoric since it featured not one but two horrific incidents: the July 20th massacre of patrons at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, and the August 5th massacre of worshippers at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

The absolute worst time to engage in such a debate is in the immediate aftermath of a shooting, with our emotions still raw, and with images of the carnage still fresh in our minds — which, of course, is the reason the political left wants to have the debate while the yellow police tape is still up at the crime scenes. But as time passes, the potential for a saner debate increases. To ask, for example, whether a civilian should be allowed to purchase a high-capacity “drum magazine” for a semi-automatic weapon, as the Colorado shooter was allegedly able to do, is not to dismantle the Second Amendment. Would such a restriction be the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent? Maybe. But it’s not an unreasonable question to ask.

That debate, however, has nothing to do with the broader problem of gun violence in the United States. Though both the Colorado and Wisconsin massacres were violent and did involve guns, they were aberrations. Legislation aimed at reducing the likelihood or deadliness of such incidents will have little or no impact on how many Americans get shot and killed from year to year.
