So, how’s the evidence against Zimmerman holding up? Does it justify the charges, or does it show  a politically correct motivation.

I vote for the latter myself. At any rate, the evidence that was released sure as hell doesn’t support a murder 2 charge.

Zimmerman police interviews released, contain no justification for Murder 2 charge

I’m trapped home ill today, and used the time to listen to the newly released evidence in the George Zimmerman. The off-duty Florida Neighborhood Watch volunteer shot and killed an unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February.

The evidence released is a compendium of Zimmerman’s written statement, an video-taped walk through of events the media insists upon calling a re-enactment, and a series of audio interviews with two Sanford Police investigators. When added to the 183-pages of discovery evidence previously released, it suggests that claims from Martin family attorney’s that the SPD did not conduct a through investigation was nothing more or less than a lie.

So how’s that APA study on homosexual parenting standing up to scrutiny? Not so well it seems.

They don’t even meet their own standards. Pathetic.

Checking the APA’s Findings on Homosexual Parenting

By Janice Shaw Crouse

Since 2005, when the American Psychological Association (APA) issued an official brief on lesbian and gay parenting, political correctness has demanded that all agree with the spurious assessment that children of homosexual parents do fine. The APA declared, “A growing body of scientific literature demonstrates that children who grow up with one or two gay and/or lesbian parents fare as well in emotional, cognitive, social, and sexual functioning as do children whose parents are heterosexual. Children’s optimal development seems to be influenced more by the nature of the relationships and interactions within the family unit than by the particular structural form it takes.” In a fit of concurrence, elite opinion-makers, academics, and those in the mainstream media voiced their wisdom by declaring that any household structure works well as long as there are loving relationships within the family unit.

In the absence of research to the contrary and a barrage of positive media images of homosexuals in family settings, public attitudes were manipulated into widespread acceptance of same-sex parenting. The few lone dissenting voices were harassed and discredited.

But the prestigious Social Science Research journal recently published highly credited research that counters the prevailing public and scientific attitudes. Loren Marks, of Louisiana State University, authored “Same-Sex Parenting and Children’s Outcomes: A Closer Examination of the American Psychological Association’s Brief on Lesbian and Gay Parenting,” which uses objective scientific methods to examine the APA assertion about the outcomes of homosexual parenting. Marks’ research calls into question the validity of the research methods and analysis of the 59 published studies cited by the APA.

Obama usurpation of the US Constitution should in and of itself be grounds for impeachment. He spouts off about the “rule of law” yet he rides roughshod over it constantly.

His latest violation of US law being the Executive Order effectively bypassing Congress is probably the most obvious, and by itself is enough in my opinion for impeachment.

Who in their right mind would want to re-elect this asshole when he is clearly doing everything he can to fundamentally change America without the consent of the people, and in complete violation of the laws that he swore an oath to protect and defend?

You have got to be a mental moron to vote for this guy.

I’ll excuse your stupidity the first time around because you needed to show all your libtard friends how much you’re not a racist. Sorry, you failed that one too, it just shows you really are racist like the rest of the Democrat Party.

Here’s a great read:

A Nation of Paper, Not of Men

By Andrew C. McCarthy

In continuing the dramatic shift from American constitutional democracy to rule by executive fiat that has marked his tenure, President Barack Obama now claims that the illegal aliens, to whom he purports to grant what effectively is amnesty, are “Americans … in every single way but one — on paper.” That is false. They are not Americans under the only thing that matters, the thing the Obama administration has chanted like a mantra — while riding roughshod over  – since its very first day in power: the rule of law.

The Constitution and congressional statutes are written on parchment. That is the only relevance of “paper” in this equation — as the “hard copy” of our social contract and of the laws enacted pursuant to it. Under the Constitution, Congress, not the president, is endowed with such a power: “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.” Congress exercises this power by passing laws. Under the Constitution, which Obama took an oath to preserve, protect, and defend, and under the laws it is his duty to execute faithfully, illegal aliens — no matter how sympathetic their plight, no matter how blameless they may be for the illegality of their status — are not citizens of the United States. They are not Americans. Period. It is not “paper” that separates them from our body politic, it is the law, of which Obama is supposed to be servant, not master — as I argued in this September 2011 essay for The New Criterion: “The Ruler of Law — On ‘Justice’ in the Age of Obama.”

Nevertheless, immigration is only the context of the president’s latest usurpation. It is a critically important issue, yes, but the real gravity of what Obama has done lies not in the subject matter of his edict but in the authoritarian assumptions of its issuance. They transcend mere arrogance: the president proposes to eviscerate our constitutional system. He claims nothing less than the dictatorial power to pronounce what the law is. This usurpation, moreover, complements the dictatorial powers he has already claimed to enforce only the laws of his choosing and to use the police powers of his office to deprive the sovereign states and the people of their constitutional prerogatives and rights.

Happy Friday!

Here’s today’s eye candy, and as they say: “variety is the spice of life.”

Of course, you’re not going to hear this on any of the major networks. It just doesn’t fit the meme.

This is a little too inconvenient for the morons on the left to fathom, so they just stay silent.

Gun sales go up, crime goes down. Not the statistic they were hoping for.

MILLER: Gun ownership up, crime down

Gun-control advocates are noticeably silent when crime rates decline. Their multimillion-dollar lobbying efforts are designed to manufacture mass anxiety that every gun owner is a potential killer. The statistics show otherwise.

Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that violent crime decreased 4 percent in 2011. The number of murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults all went down, continuing a pattern.

“This is not a one-year anomaly, but a steady decline in the FBI’s violent-crime rates,” said Andrew Arulanandam, spokesman for the National Rifle Association. “It would be disingenuous for anyone to not credit increased self-defense laws to account for this decline.”

Mr. Arulanandam pointed out that only a handful of states had concealed-carry programs 25 years ago, when the violent-crime rate peaked. Today, 41 states either allow carrying without a permit or have “shall issue” laws that make it easy for just about any noncriminal to get a permit. Illinois and Washington, D.C., are the only places that refuse to recognize the right to bear arms. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence did not respond to requests for comment.

It’s pretty pathetic when a sitting President invokes Executive Privilege (EP) over something that he supposedly had nothing to do with. If he didn’t have anything to do with Fast and Furious, then why is invoking EP?
If, as he claims, he had nothing to with, or any fore knowledge of F&F then how in the hell can he invoke EP?
Looks like shit, smells like shit, tastes like shit. Guess it’s a good thing they didn’t step in it.

House committee suspects ‘Fast and Furious’ cover-up
Answers may be in 1,300 pages it wants

The House committee investigating Fast and Furious has received more than 7,600 documents from the Justice Department, but Republican lawmakers say none addresses who approved the gunrunning probe, who failed to stop it before a U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed and why department officials initially lied to Congress about it.

Now the panel has its sights set on an additional 1,300 pages of documents it believes will answer those questions and also expose a political cover-up at Justice.

Nevertheless, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s quest for records got more complicated this week when President Obama asserted executive privilege and refused to turn them over — and the committee in turn voted to recommend holding Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt of Congress.

Together, they are the crux of what has become the biggest separation-of-powers battle of the Obama administration.

Fast and Furious. Slow and Arduous would be more appropriate. Obama and Holder are hiding something. The lies and obfuscation are telling, in and of themselves.

Murdered border agent Brian Terry’s parents accuse Obama officials of ‘hiding something’

The parents of murdered border agent Brian Terry told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday that they think Attorney General Eric Holder and other Justice Department officials are “hiding something” in their response to the botched anti-gunrunning operation Fast and Furious.

The operation let illicit guns “walk” in the hope of tracking them to bigger traffickers, but many of the guns just disappeared into Mexico. Two of those guns were later found at the crime scene where Terry was killed in December 2010 just north of the border.

A House panel voted Wednesday along party lines to recommend holding Holder in contempt of Congress for not handing over a trove of documents related to Fast and Furious, and GOP leaders are considering a full House vote. President Obama has asserted executive privilege in keeping many of the documents out of public view.
