The big 2012! Finally caught up with the year in number of posts.
Who’d have thunk it.
I’ve gone from a few people to about 200 people that look at my blog on a daily basis, with about 30, or so that are following me.

I give credit for the jump in numbers to a few of my fellow bloggers on WordPress for that. You should know who you are.

At any rate, 2012 posts! Woohoo!

Couldn’t resist this one. Enjoy your weekend.

Real racism more often than not comes from the left. The liberal douche bags constantly scream that the right is racist when it is actually them that are the real racists. It’s pathetic that we have a MSM and Democrat party, but I repeat myself, that espouse racial hatred to advance their failing agenda.

Americans see through their bullshit for the most part, but the hardcore left just can’t see past their own racial biases and project it onto others.

Lloyd Marcus has another good article over at the American Thinker:

Democrats Ignore Real Racism while Exploiting Trayvon for Obama 2012

By Lloyd Marcus

I caught a portion of testimony by a Jewish woman who escaped extermination in a Nazi concentration camp. She said that upon their arrival, she was separated from her family and herded with other young women who looked strong enough to work.

The women were ordered to strip naked. Their heads and bodies were shaved. She said that even sisters did not recognize each other afterwards.

Clueless regarding the Nazis’ agenda, the naïve new arrival asked a fellow prisoner who had been there a while, “When do we get to see our families?” The woman replied, “Stupid girl. See the smoke coming out of those stacks over there? That’s where they are burning your family.” The young woman said that petrifying fear overtook her body.

Folks, can you imagine the horror and all-encompassing fear? I cannot imagine being in that woman’s situation, and I pray that I never will. How could human beings treat fellow human beings with such cruelty?

In 1977, Alex Haley’s Roots: The Saga of an American Family hit the airways as a TV miniseries. It was the story of Haley’s family, from Africa to America. Millions of hearts were broken, black and white, watching the scene in which the African boy, Kunta Kinte, was brutally whipped until he accepted his newly assigned America slave name, “Toby.”

Critics feared that airing Roots would cause race riots. A few knuckleheads did act up. Even though Haley was later proven to be a fraud, I believe that Roots at least put a face on slavery and helped people of all races to relate to each other as human beings.

Time to get out there and do your duty. Yes, duty.

“Duty then is the sublimest word in the English language. You should do your duty in all things. You can never do more, you should never wish to do less.” – Robert E. Lee

Make the left know you’re on to them and you aren’t going to sit idly by and take their bullshit anymore. We are still the majority, we just have to get out there and prove it. Vote. Even if you don’t like the SOB the GOP puts out there, he is way better than the current occupier in the White House, a.k.a. SCOAMF.

The Tea Party Call to Duty

By Sally Zelikovsky

At the time of America’s founding, the notion of civic duty was commonplace. Our entire system was predicated on the idea that citizens would take an active role in the governance of their towns, states, and country. Little was asked of Americans other than self-governance, jury duty, fighting wars when necessary, protecting the homeland, and living by the rule of law. In time, Americans were additionally “asked” to forfeit a portion of the fruits of their labor to foot the bills the government would incur.

Over the years, we have handed off most of our self-governing and civic duties to others. As the Founders anticipated, we elect town council members and state and federal legislators to “represent” us. But all too often, we leave the voting booth, brush our hands together, and go back to our normal lives thinking we are done…until the next election. In the meantime, we relinquish considerable power and control over our lives to the very people who are supposed to be working for us.

We have so completely shirked our personal and civic responsibilities that we have inadvertently created a class of professional politicians. With the economic and personal stakes being so high for these professional politicians, the legislation they enact is often compromised, and their re-election campaigns are motivated more by what’s good for the incumbent than by what’s good for the People.

Presidential Proclamation — Vietnam Veterans Day

VIETNAM VETERANS DAY

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

On January 12, 1962, United States Army pilots lifted more than 1,000 South Vietnamese service members over jungle and underbrush to capture a National Liberation Front stronghold near Saigon.  Operation Chopper marked America’s first combat mission against the Viet Cong, and the beginning of one of our longest and most challenging wars.  Through more than a decade of conflict that tested the fabric of our Nation, the service of our men and women in uniform stood true.  Fifty years after that fateful mission, we honor the more than 3 million Americans who served, we pay tribute to those we have laid to rest, and we reaffirm our dedication to showing a generation of veterans the respect and support of a grateful Nation.

The Vietnam War is a story of service members of different backgrounds, colors, and creeds who came together to complete a daunting mission.  It is a story of Americans from every corner of our Nation who left the warmth of family to serve the country they loved.  It is a story of patriots who braved the line of fire, who cast themselves into harm’s way to save a friend, who fought hour after hour, day after day to preserve the liberties we hold dear.  From Ia Drang to Hue, they won every major battle of the war and upheld the highest traditions of our Armed Forces.

Eleven years of combat left their imprint on a generation.  Thousands returned home bearing shrapnel and scars; still more were burdened by the invisible wounds of post-traumatic stress, of Agent Orange, of memories that would never fade.  More than 58,000 laid down their lives in service to our Nation.  Now and forever, their names are etched into two faces of black granite, a lasting memorial to those who bore conflict’s greatest cost.

Our veterans answered our country’s call and served with honor, and on March 29, 1973, the last of our troops left Vietnam.  Yet, in one of the war’s most profound tragedies, many of these men and women came home to be shunned or neglected — to face treatment unbefitting their courage and a welcome unworthy of their example.  We must never let this happen again.  Today, we reaffirm one of our most fundamental obligations:  to show all who have worn the uniform of the United States the respect and dignity they deserve, and to honor their sacrifice by serving them as well as they served us.  Half a century after those helicopters swept off the ground and into the annals of history, we pay tribute to the fallen, the missing, the wounded, the millions who served, and the millions more who awaited their return.  Our Nation stands stronger for their service, and on Vietnam Veterans Day, we honor their proud legacy with our deepest gratitude.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 29, 2012, as Vietnam Veterans Day.  I call upon all Americans to observe this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities that commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the Vietnam War.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.

BARACK OBAMA

This is a must read. You won’t see it, or hear of it in the MSM. Doesn’t fit the narrative.

The Real Face Of American Servicemen And Women Spc. Dennis Weichel

While the media focuses on the case of Staff Sgt. Robert Bales, it is worth remembering that he is the overwhelming exception.

Spc. Dennis Weichel of the Rhode Island National Guard is far more representative of the selfless sacrifice and honor exhibited by the US military during 2 wars and over 10 years of fighting. But even within the ranks of heroic actions, Spc. Weichel’s sacrifice stands out.

The official Pentagon news release says he died “from injuries suffered in a noncombat related incident.” But there is much more to the story. Weichel, 29, of Providence, died saving the life of a little girl.

According to the Rhode Island National Guard and the U.S. Army, Weichel was in a convoy a week ago with his unit in Laghman Province, in northeast Afghanistan. Some children were in the road in front of the convoy, and Weichel and other troops got out to move them out of the way.

Most of the children moved, but one little girl went back to pick up some brass shell casings in the road. Afghan civilians often recycle the casings, and the girl appeared to aim to do that. But a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected vehicle was moving toward her, according to Lt. Col. Denis Riel of the Rhode Island National Guard.

MRAPs, as they are known, usually weigh more than 16 tons.

Weichel saw the massive truck bearing down on the girl and grabbed her out of the way. But in the process, the armored truck ran him over, Riel said.

The little girl is fine. Weichel died a short time later of his injuries.

Specialist Weichel leaves behind his fiance and three children.

A little good news for you this morning. This is a step in the right direction.

Glad to hear that this is close to a reality.

Well done Oz…

Australian Drug Maker Close To A Cure For The Common Cold

By: Herald Sun

MELBOURNE, Australia – Taking sick days is set to get tougher — there may be a cure for the common cold.

Australian drug maker Biota Wednesday reported the stunning success of its antiviral compound, named Vapendavir.

Tested in 300 asthmatic patients infected with the cold-causing human rhinovirus, the clinical trial showed that cold symptoms eased quickly and the duration of the infection was shortened considerably.

Patients given a placebo experienced the worst cold symptoms at 2.5 days, whereas those dosed with Vapendavir began rapid recovery after just 1.7 days.

Shot down in flames. Seems about par for the course I would say. Even the Democrats thought Obama’s budget was bullshit.

House rejects Bowles-Simpson, Obama budgets

The Bowles-Simpson deficit-reduction plan went down to a crushing defeat in the House late Wednesday night in a vote that damages the one bipartisan proposal that just a few months ago had seemed like a possible solution to the country’s debt woes.

The 382-38 defeat, with just 16 Republicans and 22 Democrats voting for it, marks a bad end to what began nearly two years ago, when President Obama tapped former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, a Democrat, and former Sen. Alan Simpson, a Republican, to lead a deficit-reduction committee.

Their report has popped up in every deficit discussion since then, but had never gotten a vote in either chamber until this week, when opponents prevailed.

“This doesn’t go big. This doesn’t tackle the problem. This doesn’t do the big things,” said Rep. Paul D. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Budget Committee. “You can never get the debt under control if you don’t deal with our health care entitlement programs.”

The debate came as the House worked its way through its fiscal year 2013 budget plan, which Mr. Ryan wrote.
The Bowles-Simpson plan was offered as an alternative on the chamber floor.

Minutes earlier, the House also defeated Mr. Obama’s own budget, submitted last month, on a 414-0 vote arranged by Republicans to embarrass the president and officially shelve his plan.

Awesome.

The douche bag Democrats can’t the real folks to protest when they want a protest, so they manufacture said protest by hiring morons to hold a sign. Astroturf at its finest, ala Nancy (Nazi) Pelosi. She claimed the Tea Party did this, which was a lie. Apparently, it is something they do all the time, so surely the Tea Party did the same. NOT.

Democrats and the left are inherently a sham with little actual grassroots support and the race for Florida’s 18th Congressional District is yet another example of this truism.

Repeatedly and across the country we see unions, Democrats, and other far left groups planning rallies and protest marches but finding that they simply can’t put bodies in the streets to make all the effort worthwhile. They just don’t really have the support of the common man, the folks in the streets, to carry off these protest marches and rallies.

But these out of the mainstream groups do have a solution to this problem: the rent-a-protester. Whenever you see a left-wing protest, almost invariably you’ll find that many of the folks walking around with signs in their hands were hired to be there. They are paid protesters, faux activists only there for some change in their pockets, not because they care anything about the issue being protested.

Such is the case in the 18th CD race where Florida Congressman Allen West is running to represent the newly redistricted area. The Democrats that are trying to raise hate against West there wanted to stage a protest but, like most of these left-wing groups, just didn’t have the bodies for it. So, off to rent-a-protester they went.
