The earth has a heating and cooling cycle that it does all by itself. Man has zero effect on this process. Basic biology should have taught that to you when you went to school. If Michael Crichton had lived to write a follow-up to State of Fear, the plotline might well have gone like this: at a top secret, state of the art laboratory in Switzerland, scientists finally discover the true cause of “global warming”. It’s the sun, stupid. More specifically – as the Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark has long postulated – it’s the result of cosmic rays which act as a seed for cloud formation. The scientists working on the project are naturally euphoric: this is a major breakthrough which will not only overturn decades of misguided conjecture on so-called Man Made Global Warming but will spare the global economy trillions of dollars which might otherwise have been squandered on utterly pointless efforts to reduce anthropogenic CO2 emissions. However, these scientists have failed to realise just how many people – alarmist scientists, huckster politicians, rent-seeking landowners like (the late Michael Crichton’s brilliant and, of course, entirely fictional creation) the absurd, pompous Sir Reginald Leeds Bt, green activists, eco-fund managers, EU technocrats, MSM environmental correspondents – stand to gain from the Man Made “Climate Change” industry. Their discovery must be suppressed at all costs. So, one by one, the scientists on the cosmic ray project find themselves being bumped off, until only one man remains and must race against time to prove, etc, etc…
Except of course in the real world the second part wouldn’t happen. No one would need to go to the trouble of bumping off those pesky scientists with their awkward, annoying facts and their proper actual research. That’s because the MSM and the scientific “community” would find it perfectly easy to suppress the story anyway, without recourse to severed brake cables or ricin-impregnated hand-washes or staged “suicides”.

Parts of Britain suffer coldest summer for nearly two decades
As Britons return to work today after a soggy Bank Holiday weekend, official weather data reveals that average temperatures were significantly down on recent years.
The UK’s average temperature from June 1 to August 15 was only 57F (13.9C) – the lowest for 13 years.
For central England the average was 59F (15C), making it the coolest summer since 1993.
Helen Waite, a Met Office forecaster, said: “The average temperature for central England this summer has been just 15C – this sort of temperature is normally typical of September.
“Generally speaking, you would expect to see temperatures of at least 17C for this time of year.”

This boringly ineffective would-be demagogue in the Oval Office keeps trotting out the same tired, petty, counterfactual lines in every one of his pompous, detached-from-reality speeches — and he did so again in his Saturday radio address. So shopworn is his refrain, and so counterproductive are his policies (both enacted and proposed), that the markets tank just about every time he opens his mouth, and the economy suffers with each minute he continues to occupy the White House. His resignation from office, in abject embarrassment at his failures, would be a great first step toward economic recovery, not to mention a balm to the souls of tens of millions of Americans sick of his condescension, his prevarications, and his incompetence.
Of course this man’s ego won’t let him resign, but just think: Vice President Joe Biden, for all his blarney, is a naturally ebullient “people person,” a dealmaker, and more a conventional liberal politician than an ideologue. If he ascended to the presidency, the markets would immediately take heart that some sort of rough progress could be fashioned despite Washington’s bitter divide. His tone alone would improve the confidence of both consumers and investors and help unleash the “animal spirits” that are necessary for an economy to grow.
Another fine example of an Obama failure is this one. Besides being wrong on every aspect there is when it comes to fixing the economy and getting the ball rolling with jobs. Let’s face it, this guy is officially worse than Carter. God help us.
Industrial Policy: The fact that President Obama’s “green jobs” campaign has been an enormously expensive failure is now so glaringly obvious even the New York Times can’t ignore it any longer.
In a surprisingly candid article headlined “Number of Green Jobs Fails to Live Up to Promises,” the Times’ Aaron Glantz reports that “federal and state efforts to stimulate creation of green jobs have largely failed, government records show,” and that Obama’s goal of 5 million new green jobs in 10 years is a “pipe dream.”
Glantz notes, for example, that Obama’s much-heralded weatherization program “never caught on.”
California still has spent only about half its $186 million in federal weatherization funds, creating a grand total of 538 full-time jobs. He also points to the $59 million spent in California on green job training that resulted in just 719 placements.
Interesting editorial from the Wapo. It’s no wonder that our country is in such dire straits. I think the biggest obstacle that needs to be removed to economic growth is Obama and the Democrats, but that’s just obvious.
Our country is facing two related but separate crises. The first is the federal government’s debt crisis, the result of decades of fiscal mismanagement by both political parties as well as unsustainable entitlement commitments. The second is the jobs crisis, which has resulted in painful levels of unemployment and underemployment. President Obama is wrong to think that the answer is to increase spendingor raise taxes when so many millions of Americans are out of work.
In fact, the Obama administration’s anti-business, hyper-regulatory, pro-tax agenda has fueled economic uncertainty and sent the message from the administration that “we want to make it harder to create jobs.” There is no other conclusion for policies such as the new Environmental Protection Agency regulations, including the “Transport Rule,” which could eliminate thousands of jobs, or the ozone regulation that would cost upward of $1 trillion and millions of jobs in the construction industry over the next decade. The administration’s new maximum achievable control technology standards for cement are expected to affect nearly 100 cement plants, setting over-the-top requirements resulting in increased costs and possibly thousands of jobs being offshored. There is the president’s silence as the National Labor Relations Board seeks to prevent Boeing from opening a plant in South Carolina that would create thousands of jobs. Such behavior, coupled with the president’s insistence on raising the top tax rate paid by individuals and small businesses, has resulted in a lag in growth that has added to the debt crisis, contributing to our nation’s credit downgrade.

Are you folks as sick of reading my articles on this topic as I am of writing them? Just as Ronald Reagan said to Jimmy Carter during the 1980 debate, I say to the NAACP, “Well, there you go again” — more distortions, lies, and tired old “we shall overcome” 1950s rhetoric.
Tragically, this once-great organization has been hijacked by far-left, radical, America-hating socialists. Thus, the NAACP is relentless in its efforts to portray American race relations as having progressed very little since the 1950s — ignoring obvious evidence to the contrary, like a black first family occupying the White House.
The NAACP’s modus operandi is simple, a one-trick pony. Their strategy is to despicably declare every issue and all opposition “racist.”
Along with their daily attempts to brand the Tea Party racist, here is the NAACP’s latest attempt to use race-baiting to get out the black vote for Obama in 2012.

John Kerry is on a crusade to destroy the Tea Party. To blame the Tea Party for the S&P downgrade is like blaming the Betty Ford Clinic for alcoholism. The entire existence of the Tea Party movement has been based on an attempt to stop the runaway spending of Washington – by the likes of John Kerry. Any media outlet that features his outrageous blame game remarks without challenging his serial dishonesty is giving aid and comfort to the crusade to vilify and extinguish conservative thought.
If this is the ‘Tea Party downgrade’ then I’m the fairy godmother. No, this is a well-coordinated effort by the left-wing to deflect bad news – very bad news – away from their very left-wing President Obama.
Let’s not forget the conservative movement’s position on the debt. The only legislation that would have met the criteria to avert a downgrade was the Cut Cap Balance proposal. It included $5.8 trillion in cuts, easily more than what S&P required. But President Obama vowed not to sign it, and the John Kerry Senate Democrats refused to consider it. The liberal media largely ignored this reality, too.
So nice try, left-wing propaganda machine. The President and his left-wing allies in Congress have earned their position in the hot seat. The left-wing media are aiding and abetting blatant falsehoods unless and until they call out Senator John Kerry as a deliberate liar.
