Stumbled on this over at Blackfive.

This is good shit. The military has always been a leader in innovation when it comes to technology, and much of the medical field owes a lot to the military.

Air Force Tests Method for Using Light to Heal Battlefield Injuries

In the near future, wounds may be treated with a flash of light. A process called photochemical tissue bonding can replace conventional stitches, staples and glues in repairing skin wounds and even reconnecting nerves and blood vessels.

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital, working with funds from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, recently completed a pilot study to determine the effectiveness of light bonding compared to traditional stitches. The study involved patients who had skin lesions removed and needed stitches.

The team just submitted the study for publication, according to Dr. Irene Kochevar, a dermatology professor at Harvard and a research fellow at Massachusetts General’s Wellman Center for Photomedicine.

You have to read this article from American Thinker. If you aren’t sure about how badly we are in debt, this should open your eyes a bit. And those of you morons that voted for Obama, well, he’s just making it worse.

Pay attention kiddies, class is in session:

America’s Growing Vulnerability to Catastrophe
By Steve McCann

The major responsibility of those in government is to be certain that a country is capable of surviving a worst-case scenario such as war, massive economic downturn, or a catastrophic natural disaster.

Yet the current regime in Washington, D.C. does not seem to understand or care that the policies they are pursuing will leave no margin for error in the event of an apocalyptic natural or man-made calamity.

It has been predicted that California has a 99% chance of a major devastating earthquake in the next thirty years. The central part of the United States extending to the east coast, in an area that has recorded four of the largest earthquakes ever in North America, could experience a cataclysmic earthquake sometime in the next fifty years. The cost of these events may well be in the trillions of dollars.

The economy, so wedded to the world financial structure and socialist economic policies, has a very high probability in the short- and long-term of repeating the scale of financial wreckage that the country has recently undergone.

Ace covers this well. The MFM (sic) has consistantly cried wolf whenever it is a non-Muslim that is caught in suspicious circumstances. Here though, a Muslim is caught as THE suspect in the case of the NY atempted bombing, and they trip over themselves to not go there.

Bloomberg was quick to blame the TEA party for it as well.

Contessa Brewer Is Frustrated That Times Square Bombing Suspect Is A Muslim UPDATE: Note Brewer’s Double Standard For Islamic Terrorists And Militia Members

Our favorite MSNBC News whore is back at it.

I mean the thing is that- and I get frustrated and there was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country because there are a lot of people who want to use this terrorist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. I mean they use it as justification for really outdated bigotry.

Yes, we need to get past the outdated bigotry of thinking, “My God, what have they (some Muslim) blown up now?” and move on to the new and approved bigotry of attacking people who have the temerity to not fall in line with Obama’s political agenda.

England is no longer a free nation. This is pathetic.

Christian preacher arrested for saying homosexuality is a sin

A Christian street preacher was arrested and locked in a cell for telling a passer-by that homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of God.
By Heidi Blake

Dale McAlpine was charged with causing “harassment, alarm or distress” after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of “sins” referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships.

The 42-year-old Baptist, who has preached Christianity in Wokington, Cumbria for years, said he did not mention homosexuality while delivering a sermon from the top of a stepladder, but admitted telling a passing shopper that he believed it went against the word of God.

Police officers are alleging that he made the remark in a voice loud enough to be overheard by others and have charged him with using abusive or insulting language, contrary to the Public Order Act.

Mr McAlpine, who was taken to the police station in the back of a marked van and locked in a cell for seven hours on April 20, said the incident was among the worst experiences of his life.

Illegal aliens, or their cousins were protesting in California, when all of a sudden, violence broke out. Hmm. What is that meme the MFM always spout? Oh, yeah, the lefty morons are all polite and shit, while the TEA party protestors are going to break into violence any minute now. Yeah, right!

Calif. immigrants’ rights march ends in vandalism

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Close to 20 businesses were damaged after what started as a peaceful immigrants’ rights march in downtown Santa Cruz turned violent, requiring police to call other agencies for help, authorities said.

Police spokesman Zach Friend said an estimated 250 people started marching through the city around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

It was a harmonious but “unpermitted and unsanctioned event,” he said, until some in the crowd started breaking windows and spraying paint on retail shops that line the downtown corridor.

Thousands across Bay Area protest AZ immigration law
by Lisa Amin Gulezian and Amy Hollyfied

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Tens of thousands of people across the Bay Area turned out in protest of Arizona’s tough new immigration law. The demonstrations went on all day and some stretched into the night.

In San Jose, thousands of marchers headed to an evening rally at city hall. In San Francisco, a separate demonstration wrapped up in the afternoon, but not without a bit of trouble.

Three people were attacked and at least two others were arrested. The people assaulted were part of the Minutemen demonstration, a group in favor of Arizona’s new immigration law.

They said a large group of immigrants’ rights supporters followed them to the BART station on Market Street and started punching and kicking them, and calling them names.
