Pro-life Ad Refused by NBC

Stumbled on this over at Ace:

It’s a pro-life ad that NBC refuses to run during the Super Bowl:

I plan on supporting this effort. These morons in Congress need to know that the American people aren’t going to put up with their bullshit for much longer.

TEA PARTY February 1st?

So long as we have an inauguration drawing this sort of crowd and not a protest about our government blowing $700 billion of our dollars so that The Pigmen of Wall Street can continue to rob our nation blind, then saddle us with the bill when their bets go bad, we will see no solution.

I cannot take credit for the idea floated on the forum, but I do like it.

It is time for We The People to send a strong message to Washington DC – no more.  No more loading our children and grandchildren with debt.  No more bailing out speculators and bankers who made bets they knew were unsafe at the time.  No more bailing out people who came to Congress to demand the removal of leverage limits, got what they asked for, then blew themselves up with the very leverage they demanded to be able to use.

No more.

Therefore, on February 1st, which is more than enough time for Barack Obama to be seated in his chair in the West Wing, I am recommending an act of peaceful, lawful and yet unmistakable protest.

I said earlier, that anytime I catch Der Fuhrer in a lie, I would post it. I may run out of space. Here’s the next lie:

Obama White House A Lobbyist Haven

President Barack Obama has repeatedly violated his innovative campaign promise to ban lobbyists from his administration by hiring at least a dozen to high-profile positions, including several to his cabinet.

Obama’s famously coined lobbyists “won’t find a job in my White House” rhetoric has turned out to be a bad a joke, proving that, mainstream media adulation aside, he’s no different than most politicians. Broken campaign promises have for decades been par for the course among the nation’s most famous elected figures and the 44th president evidently is no exception.

In response to the letter received by the White House from assholejinidad, the State Department has been busy crafting a response on behalf of Der Fuhrer. Hillary at her finest:

Jules helps the State Department craft a letter for Obambi to A’Jad.

Dearest A’Jad

Obama’s writing a love letter to Ahmadinejad. Well, his staff is. But they keep ripping it up and rewriting it. Because that’s the way young love is. Innocent, tentative, uncertain. (UK Guardian):

(Obama administration officials have drafted a letter to Iran from the president aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks, the Guardian has learned.

The US state department has been working on drafts of the letter since Obama was elected on 4 November. It would be in reply to a lengthy letter of congratulations sent by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 6 November.

Diplomats say Obama’s letter would be a symbolic gesture to mark a change in tone from the hostile one adopted by the Bush administration, which portrayed Iran as part of an “axis of evil”.

Way to go Republicans! Nicely done. Make nice and then rub their noses in shit. This bill is your crap sandwich, you eat it.
It’s not Obama they’re against, it’s the dumb asses in his party. I don’t believe that line either, but it sounds good.

Cutting $6 billion off of the crap sandwich and calling it a gesture towards the Republicans by the Democrats is rich. Now they scream for bipartisanship. Where was that when the Republicans were running things?

Another thing I’m hearing is that we can’t talk shit about Der Fuhrer. It’s “un-American” and divisive. What a crock. Divisive is what the Democrats did for the last eight years. Douche-nozzles.

Missing in Package: Bipartisan Support

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has talked often about working toward a new bipartisanship in fractious Washington, and has met frequently with Republicans, hoping to win support.

The net result of all that outreach? Not a single Republican supported Mr. Obama’s economic recovery package on the House floor Wednesday night. It passed 244-188, with 11 Democrats joining the Republicans.

The solid Republican opposition, led by House Minority Leader John Boehner (R., Ohio), raises questions about whether the new era of bipartisanship that Mr. Obama promised during the campaign is truly within reach, or if Washington remains stuck in its acrimonious ways. Most immediately, the vote may mean that Democrats have to make more compromises in the Senate version of the recovery package, which is scheduled for a vote next week.

In the Senate, a vote that falls short of 60 senators supporting a bill allows the opposition to filibuster, or block passage through indefinite debate. But some Republicans are signaling privately that they are reluctant to filibuster the stimulus package, and Senate Democrats appear to be reaching out more aggressively to address GOP concerns on the bill.

Do any of you really think that this so called stimulus package will do the American economy any good? I hope you realize that whatever these knuckleheads in Congress do isn’t going to touch the economy until at the earliest, 2011.

Also, the 7%, or so that does hit the economy right away, is all BS spending that isn’t going to help anything. Peter Ferrara discusses it in more detail.

Good Morning, Suckers

By Peter Ferrara

Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats are playing the voters for fools with the so-called stimulus package. The massive $825 billion package is not even targeted on programs to stimulate the economy. Instead, it is laced with runaway government spending for increased welfare, overgrown bureaucracy, pork, political payoffs, and other waste. That runaway spending is causing record smashing deficits of $1.5 trillion or more, equivalent to over 50% of the entire federal budget for fiscal 2008.

For example, the “stimulus” package includes $50 million for the National Endowment of the Arts to help “the arts community throughout the United States.” Wouldn’t want our economy to get behind in the international arts competition. The government is going to borrow $50 million out of the private economy to spend on this, which will result in a net loss of economic output rather than a net gain.

ACORN’s Stimulus

By Matthew Vadum

With a new president ensconced in the White House, it’s time to roll out the goodies for loyal supporters in left-of-center political advocacy groups such as ACORN.

The latest economic stimulus bill promises to do just that by providing a huge bailout –up to $5.2 billion in taxpayer funds — for some of the same liberal groups that helped get Barack Obama elected.

The three relevant fiscal provisions are buried deep in the $825 billion monstrosity known as the proposed “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.”

Here’s Ben Shapiro’s take on The One’s interview with the rag heads.

The Day America Lost the War on Terror

by Ben Shapiro

On Nov. 4, 2008, America lost the war on terror. President Barack Obama’s feckless, pathetically apologetic perspective on foreign policy spells the end of the quest for liberty in the Middle East. It spells the end of America’s moral leadership in the global war for freedom. And it spells the end of a hard-fought campaign to protect America. Our enemies must be happily celebrating their great good fortune in America’s election of this platitudinous, morally relativistic, Jimmy Carter carbon copy in the midst of battle.

On Jan. 26, 2009, Obama granted his first television interview as president of the United States to Al Arabiya, the Dubai-based television network part-owned by the Saudi government. In the interview, he demonstrated with the utmost clarity that his understanding is inversely proportional to his arrogance.

If you’ve read this column for very long you know that I rarely ever ask anybody to support any cause, but there is an emergency developing in this nation and as usual the media is ignoring it and I feel it is urgent to get the word out.

There is currently a bill making it’s way through Congress, it is called H.R. 45: Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 and it is designed for no other reason but to restrict gun ownership and make it difficult and expensive to buy ammunition.

In my humble opinion the milksops on Capitol Hill are trying to slip this one through without attracting any attention.

Here’s the gist of it, you need to write your Senators and Representative ASAP!

Just copy this:

Dear Congressman/Senator whoever:

I am extremely concerned about the climate in Washington concerning firearms control.

In this day of rampant crime, home invasion and potential terrorist attacks, We The People need to know what our elected officials are thinking on the subject.

So I ask, with all due respect, and please don’t parse or elaborate, a simple sentence or two will suffice. Where do you stand on gun owner’s rights, and do you or will you support H.R. 45: Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009?

Anxiously awaiting your honest response.

God Bless America

Send it out. Let these morons in Congress know how you stand on this.

The story behind the Silver Stars

Nineteen 3rd Special Forces Group soldiers received the Silver Star Medal during a Valor Awards Ceremony in the JFK Auditorium at Fort Bragg, N.C., Dec. 12, 2008. The Silver Star is the 3rd highest military decoration that can be awarded to any member of the United States Armed Forces.

Stories of Valor

There are no roads leading into the Shok Valley. The village, which stands sentinel over the valley, is home to one of the fiercest of the insurgent forces in Afghanistan – the Hezeb Islami al Gulbadin, or HIG.

On April 6, 2008 a daring raid into the stronghold by Afghan Commandos and their Special Forces counterparts tested the mettle of the Afghan forces and further forged the bond between them and their SF brothers.

On Dec. 12, Lieutenant General John F. Mullholland, commander of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, pinned Silver Stars on the chests of 10 of the men involved in the raid and the ensuing six and a half hour firefight that saw more than 150 insurgents killed.

Valor of combat cameraman earns him Silver Star

It was daybreak on April 6 when the air assault force thundered around the corner of a mountain in northeastern Afghanistan into what they knew would be a buzz saw.

A swarm of Chinook and Black Hawk helicopters packed with about 40 Special Forces soldiers from C Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group and another 100 Afghan special operations commandos descended into the rugged Shok valley in Nuristan province, what they called in the battle narrative “a well known sanctuary of the Hezeb Islamic al Gulbadin terrorist organization.”

Carrying at least 60 pounds of gear on their backs, some of the men jumped down 10 feet onto the ice-covered ground from the hovering helicopters. Operating at about 10,000 feet, the group began a grueling two-mile trek alongside a fast-moving river, moving toward a higher ground. There, a heavily armed force of insurgents waited.

The plan was to fight from above, but they began taking fire during the ascent onto a terraced ridgeline, and for the next seven hours a furious battle would test the Green Berets’ mettle in ways even the most experienced hadn’t seen.

Danger-close air support strikes just 40 feet above one position – where the mission commander and others were pinned into a shallow nook on a cliff face – blocked out the sun and rained down huge rocks that broke soldiers’ bones. Machine-gun fire and rocket-propelled grenades popped and exploded all around them. Snipers cut them off from movement and critically wounded team members who tried to get to them.

The trial of Baby Grace begins. In case you missed it, Southern Sass on Crime has the run down.

These two people deserve all the punishment that God can dole out. I just hope Texas does the right thing with this one.

Baby Grace: The trial begins

Riley Ann Sawyers ( aka Baby Grace ) was born in Ohio on March 11, 2005. She was murdered on July 24, 2007 and her biological mother Kimberly Dawn Trenor and step-father Royce Clyde Zeigler II have been charged with her torture/murder.

After having her trial postponed last fall, Kimberly Dawn Trenor will be having her day(s) in court this coming week in Texas for the brutal murder of her little girl, Riley Ann, or as we all came to know her, Baby Grace. A blue Sterilite tub containing a child’s tiny corpse had washed ashore in Galveston Bay, Texas . The mystery surrounding this baby and her death was the talk of many for over a month.

Trenor pleaded guilty to a charge of evidence tampering last week but will not be sentenced until after the murder trial.

Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty for Trenor or her husband Royce Clyde Zeigler II because they felt they couldn’t prove either of them to be a future danger…..one of the requirements for the harshest of punishments. They both remain in Galveston County jail under $850,000 bail.
