Today’s Roundup

Posted: 24 Sep 2008 in Military, Politics

Time to look at the real Obama. The media hasn’t done it, and they won’t. The left wing media is a shill for Obama. Me? I prefer to look at the facts. I don’t like McCain’s stance on many issues, but I think he represents my views a lot more closely than Obama. Obama is a leftist hack and in my opinion is a sock puppet for the Democrats. And the media is his sock puppet.

“The media can no longer be trusted to provide accurate and fair campaign reporting and analysis.” –Stuart Taylor

The Man Who Never Was
By Tony Blankley
September 24, 2008

The mainstream media have gone over the line and are now straight-out propagandists for the Obama campaign.

While they have been liberal and blinkered in their worldview for decades, in 2007-08, for the first time, the major media consciously are covering for one candidate for president and consciously are knifing the other. This is no longer journalism; it is simply propaganda. (The American left-wing version of the Volkischer Beobachter cannot be far behind.)

And as a result, we are less than seven weeks away from possibly electing a president who has not been thoroughly or even halfway honestly presented to the country by our watchdogs — the press. The image of Obama that the press has presented to the public is not a fair approximation of the real man. They consciously have ignored whole years of his life and have shown a lack of curiosity about such gaps, which bespeaks a lack of journalistic instinct.

Thus, the public image of Obama is of a “man who never was.”

Great roundup over at Small Wars Journal today.

24 September SWJ Roundup

US and Pakistan: Different Wars on Terror – Mark Sappenfield, Christian Science Monitor

Tuesday at the United Nations President George Bush and his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, reaffirmed the alliance of two nations that, in some respects, are fighting two different wars under the single banner of the war on terror.

The United States has recently stepped up missile attacks against targets in Pakistan as Washington becomes convinced that the Pakistani Army lacks either the will or ability to neutralize domestic terrorists. Yet Pakistanis counter that their Army is currently engaged in two offensives so large that they have displaced 300,000 people in areas bordering Afghanistan.

Coalition Has Entered ‘Endgame’ in Iraq, Gates Says – John J. Kruzel, American Forces Press Service

Amid an 80-percent drop in violence and with further withdrawals of U.S. forces in sight, the coalition in Iraq has reached the “endgame,” Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said here today.

“I believe we have now entered that endgame – and our decisions today and in the months ahead will be critical to regional stability and our national security interests for years to come,” he told the Senate Armed Service Committee during a hearing on Iraq and Afghanistan.

These are just a couple samples, head over there for more.

I absolutely fucking hate Obama for his political leanings. He is the worst choice for President that this country has ever been given. I absolutely scared shitless that this fuck will ruin the USA. Socialism doesn’t work, and the idiots on the left won’t figure it out until it happens. It’s too late then.

Check out Alphecca:

In an astonishingly biased piece of “reporting” by CBS News we read the following lies:

Obama has been fighting the notion that he opposes gun rights, stressing on the stump that he backs Second Amendment protections. His campaign has released a radio ad featuring American Hunters and Shooters Association head Ray Schoenke telling hunters the Democratic nominee won’t come for their guns.

“The bottom line is this. If you’ve got a rifle, you’ve got a shotgun, you’ve got a gun in your house, I’m not taking it away,” Obama said earlier this month in Pennsylvania. “Alright? So they can keep on talking about it, but this is just not true.”

Oh, gee-wiz, he’s using the head of a fake, phony, fraudulent “gun rights” organization, the AHSA, to convince us that he’s pro-2A. The AHSA is a stealth firearm prohibition group funded by such anti-gun activists as John Rosenthal, of Massachusetts, who take out billboards urging more gun control.

And the left is really looking to screw you over…

This bitch needs to be sacked and jailed.

From Judicial Watch:

Ohio Election Head Rejects Republican Ballots

The top election official in a key swing state that is sure to play a huge role in the upcoming presidential election has rejected absentee ballots for thousands of Republicans.

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, is hassling Republicans who want to vote for John McCain and two citizens have already filed lawsuits accusing her of the “disenfranchisement of thousands of voters.”

Writing about the secretary of state’s latest action, a Cincinnati newspaper columnist points out that Brunner has a reputation as the most partisan state official in Ohio and she works hard to earn it. Shortly after being elected in 2006, she tried to remove several Republican county election officials, including the state’s party chairman Robert Bennett.

The credit “crisis”:

Couldn’t say it any better.

Credit Is Not a Civil Right

[Mark Krikorian]

I have no way of judging whether the Wall Street bailout is a necessary evil or an impending disaster. But we’re in this mess, ultimately, because our political elites thought it was good social policy to encourage banks to give mortgages to un-creditworthy people, resulting in what Sailer months ago called the “Diversity Recession” (if this doesn’t work, make that the Diversity Depression). In other words, if poor people in general, or blacks or Hispanics in particular, were less likely to be approved for a mortgage, the only possible reason was racism or classism or whatever. Thus “creditworthiness” was an illegitimate, dead-white-male concept, like middleclassness. Because, after all, isn’t everyone entitled to credit? Therefore, I propose any bailout bill start with these words: “It is the sense of Congress that credit is not a civil right.”

Here’s the real deal:

HOW did America wind up in its worst financial crisis in decades? Sen. Barack Obama explained it this way last week: “When sub-prime-mortgage lending took a reckless and unsustainable turn, a patchwork of regulators systematically and deliberately eliminated the regulations protecting the American people.”

That’s exactly backward. Mortgage lending took that “reckless and unsustainable turn” because of regulation – regulation driven by liberals and progressives, not free-market “deregulators.”

Pushed hard by politicians and community activists, the regulators systematically and deliberately altered financially sound lending practices.
