…disguised as a treaty to help disabled persons.

The US already stands head and shoulders above the rest of the world when it comes to helping those with disabilities. The UN is just trying to get more power.

The UN has outgrown its usefulness.

Disabilities Treaty Just Another U.N. Power Grab
Amy Payne

International treaties sound like a good idea, especially when they claim to protect vulnerable people. The problem is, America already does more than any other country to ensure equal rights for its people—and the United Nations just wants the power to interfere in American law.

The Senate is now considering the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). President Obama signed this treaty in 2009, but the Senate has yet to agree to it. It needs a two-thirds majority of Senators to ratify it. In September, 36 Republican Senators signed a letter stating that they would oppose any treaties that came up for a vote during the lame-duck session of Congress. We will see now whether that promise holds.

U.N. to Seek Control of the Internet
By DANIEL HALPER

Next week the United Nations’ International Telecommunications Union will meet in Dubai to figure out how to control the Internet. Representatives from 193 nations will attend the nearly two week long meeting, according to news reports.

“Next week the ITU holds a negotiating conference in Dubai, and past months have brought many leaks of proposals for a new treaty. U.S. congressional resolutions and much of the commentary, including in this column, have focused on proposals by authoritarian governments to censor the Internet. Just as objectionable are proposals that ignore how the Internet works, threatening its smooth and open operations,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

“Having the Internet rewired by bureaucrats would be like handing a Stradivarius to a gorilla. The Internet is made up of 40,000 networks that interconnect among 425,000 global routes, cheaply and efficiently delivering messages and other digital content among more than two billion people around the world, with some 500,000 new users a day.

…and now that the Senate is deeper into the Democrat pocket, the UN Arms Treaty is back on the table.

This is a direct threat to the Constitution of the United States. It’s an assault on the Second Amendment by a world body that is corrupt to the core and will effect generations of Americans if it is allowed to go forward. With the new Senate make-up, it is a good possibility for this treaty to be ratified without any opposition from Republicans.

I suggest you go out and buy your guns and ammo as soon as you can. I will stock up on more ammo and am considering buying another weapon or two, funds permitting.

The official line from the government is that they aren’t going to accept a treaty that infringes on America’s rights. I don’t believe that for a second.

After Obama win, U.S. backs new U.N. arms treaty talks

(Reuters) – Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee’s call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.

U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies.

The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States – along with Russia and other major arms producers – said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.

But the U.N. General Assembly’s disarmament committee moved quickly after Obama’s win to approve a resolution calling for a new round of talks March 18-28. It passed with 157 votes in favor, none against and 18 abstentions.

U.N. diplomats said the vote had been expected before Tuesday’s U.S. presidential election but was delayed due to Superstorm Sandy, which ca

used a three-day closure of the United Nations last week.

An official at the U.S. mission said Washington’s objectives have not changed.

“We seek a treaty that contributes to international security by fighting illicit arms trafficking and proliferation, protects the sovereign right of states to conduct legitimate arms trade, and meets the concerns that we have been articulating throughout,” the official said.

“We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms,” he said.

…that do business with Israel. This is just another point of stupidity that is foisted on the world by an organization that is more corrupt than any other on the planet.

It is high time that the US stop all funding for the UN and to kick them the hell out of America. It is a failure on a grand scale similar to its predecessor the League of Nations.

Unbelievable.

U.N. Human Rights Council Calls for Boycott of U.S. Companies

U.N.’s war on Israel puts American economy in crosshairs

The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc.

The Human Rights Council (HRC), a body dominated by Islamic countries and known for its hostility to, and heavy focus on, the Jewish State, issued the report. The George W. Bush administration refused to participate in the HRC, but President Barack Obama joined it soon after taking office. Members of the HRC include infamous human rights abusers such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Libya, China, and Cuba.

The Obama-approved body maintains a “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories [sic].” The current rapporteur is American college professor Richard Falk, a 9/11 “truther” who once posted an anti-Semitic cartoon on his personal blog.

In a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, the Anti-Defamation League’s Abraham Foxman blasted the report and the HRC’s special rapporteur: “We believe you should have prevented the Secretariat from being a party to Mr. Falk’s anti-Israel agenda. Mr. Falk’s entire tenure as Special Rapporteur has served to undermine the credibility of the institution of the United Nations.”

The report attempts to instigate a campaign of boycott, divestment, sanctions, and legal action against a litany of international companies doing business in Israel. In addition to American companies, the U.N. targets include major European firms such as Veolia Environnement, Group 4 Security, the Dexia Group, the Volvo Group.

in its tracks now! This organization is the epitome of stupid. They put rogue nations in charge of, or participants to their Human Rights Council, they do everything in their power to globalize any issue they can dream up, especially if it flies in the face of American sovereignty.

And Obummer is trying to help them out.

This out of control globalist organization needs to be kicked the fuck out of America, and we should stop giving these douche bags any money whatsoever.

Without our funds, this organization would dry up and blow away.

UN arms treaty could put U.S. gun owners in foreign sights, say critics

UNITED NATIONS –  A treaty being hammered out this month at the United Nations — with Iran playing a key role — could expose the records of America’s gun owners to foreign governments — and, critics warn, eventually put the Second Amendment on global trial.

International talks in New York are going on throughout July on the final wording of the so-called Arms Trade Treaty, which supporters such as Amnesty International USA say would rein in unregulated weapons that kill an estimated 1,500 people daily around the world. But critics, including the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre, warn the treaty would mark a major step toward the eventual erosion of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment gun-ownership rights.

Americans “just don’t want the UN to be acting as a global nanny with a global permission slip stating whether they can own a gun or not,” LaPierre said. “It cheapens our rights as American citizens, and weakens our sovereignty,” he warned in an exclusive interview with FoxNews.com from the halls of the UN negotiating chambers.

Not only would they affect the United States’ freedoms, but would also prevent developing countries from accessing the internet at all. I think it is just another attempt by the UN to limit free speech and get more funds from the US.

The UN needs to be disbanded entirely. They’re useless. They don’t prevent shit. All they do is infringe on the sovereignty of member nations, and attempt to bring the US down to third world status.

Any politician that sides with the UN, needs to be fired.

U.N. could tax U.S.-based Web sites, leaked docs show

Global Internet tax suggested by European network operators, who want Apple, Google, and other Web companies to pay to deliver content, is proposed for debate at a U.N. agency in December.

The United Nations is considering a new Internet tax targeting the largest Web content providers, including Google, Facebook, Apple, and Netflix, that could cripple their ability to reach users in developing nations.

The European proposal, offered for debate at a December meeting of a U.N. agency called the International Telecommunication Union, would amend an existing telecommunications treaty by imposing heavy costs on popular Web sites and their network providers for the privilege of serving non-U.S. users, according to newly leaked documents.

The documents (No. 1 No. 2) punctuate warnings that the Obama administration and Republican members of Congress raised last week about how secret negotiations at the ITU over an international communications treaty could result in a radical re-engineering of the Internet ecosystem and allow governments to monitor or restrict their citizens’ online activities.

“It’s extremely worrisome,” Sally Shipman Wentworth, senior manager for public policy at the Internet Society, says about the proposed Internet taxes. “It could create an enormous amount of legal uncertainty and commercial uncertainty.”

This is a good first step.

We need to keep up the pressure on the Democrat idiots that would willingly hand over our sovereignty and freedoms to a huge bureaucracy with no accountability to the American people.

Sen. Moran Amendment Accepted to Protect Second Amendment Rights of Americans

“America will not be infringed upon by an organization with little respect for gun rights”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) introduced an amendment today to protect the rights of American gun owners from the effects of a U.N. Arms Trade Treaty in the Senate Appropriations Committee. The Second Amendment Sovereignty Act passed in committee today and would prevent the Obama Administration from negotiating an Arms Trade Treaty that restricts in any way Americans’ Second Amendment rights, or that regulates the domestic manufacture, possession or purchase of firearms and ammunition – therefore restricting the lawful private ownership of firearms in the United States.

“Our freedoms and our country’s sovereignty are in danger of being undermined. This amendment seeks to reinforce that our country’s sovereignty and firearm freedoms will not be infringed upon by an international organization made up of many countries with little respect for gun rights,” Sen. Moran said. “By prohibiting funding for the negotiation of an Arms Trade Treaty, this amendment will help make certain the rights of Americans are protected. America leads the world in export standards to ensure arms are transferred for legitimate purposes and my amendment will make certain that law-abiding Americans are not wrongfully punished.”

“The United Nations must be prevented from interfering with our constitutional freedoms. Equally important, American taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for the U.N.’s efforts to restrict our Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director for NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action. “The NRA would like to thank Senator Moran for his leadership in offering this amendment to protect American freedom.”
