In a crushing blow to academic freedom, Harvard University has censored and fired a prominent professor because university administrators didn’t like what he said about Islam. The tenured professors at Harvard, who cannot be fired in order to protect their freedom to express themselves, have failed to rally to the cause of the fired professor — and worse, the expulsion was occasioned in part by a faculty vote:
At a meeting of Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, faculty members voted with an “overwhelming majority” to remove two economics courses - ‘Quantitative Methods in Economics and Business’ and ‘Economic Development in India and East Asia’ – that Mr Swamy teaches at the three-month Harvard Summer School session.
Harvard has dropped economics courses taught by a Hindu professor, Subramanian Swamy, president of the Janata Party of India and a former Union Cabinet minister, because of something that had nothing to do with economics: he wrote an editorial that Muslims find offensive. And now the Harvard Crimson has added insult to injury by applauding this decision and declaring a barbarian’s war on the founding principle of this great nation — our unalienable individual rights.

So much for freedom of speech. I guess this isn’t America anymore. WTF did I and others like me fight to defend, if shit like this is allowed to go on? Hate speech is still speech, and it is protected by the Constitution. Only liberal retards do this shit. Harvard is a joke. I would rather hire someone with a degree in basket weaving from Shit Hole University than some asshole product from Harvard. Obama comes to mind.
Is it not central to this ivy league university and every institution in these United States to “protect free speech, including that of Dr Swamy and of those who disagree with him”? Where does Harvard address the truth of Swamy’s remarks, or the 80 million Hindus slaughtered in jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilations and enslavements? Harvard has removed Swamy’s course from their curriculum over an editorial he wrote concerning the jihad in India. I ran it at Atlas here on July 16, 2011.
I cannot believe this is America.
Freedom of speech protects all speech, not just the ideas that we like. That’s the point. Who decides what’s good and what’s forbidden? Harvard? The Islamic supremacists seeking to impose the sharia restriction on free speech?
Harvard has been bought and sold to the highest sharia bidder (in December 2005, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed donated $20 million each to Harvard University and Georgetown University to fund Islamic studies).

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation’s Armed Forces at home.
During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

Are you folks as sick of reading my articles on this topic as I am of writing them? Just as Ronald Reagan said to Jimmy Carter during the 1980 debate, I say to the NAACP, “Well, there you go again” — more distortions, lies, and tired old “we shall overcome” 1950s rhetoric.
Tragically, this once-great organization has been hijacked by far-left, radical, America-hating socialists. Thus, the NAACP is relentless in its efforts to portray American race relations as having progressed very little since the 1950s — ignoring obvious evidence to the contrary, like a black first family occupying the White House.
The NAACP’s modus operandi is simple, a one-trick pony. Their strategy is to despicably declare every issue and all opposition “racist.”
Along with their daily attempts to brand the Tea Party racist, here is the NAACP’s latest attempt to use race-baiting to get out the black vote for Obama in 2012.

Obama Administration Exempting Schools From Federal Law’s Testing Mandate

(AP) – State and local education officials have been begging the federal government for relief from student testing mandates in the federal No Child Left Behind law, but school starts soon and Congress still hasn’t answered the call.
Education Secretary Arne Duncan says he will announce a new waiver system Monday to give schools a break.
The plan to offer waivers to all 50 states, as long as they meet other school reform requirements, comes at the request of President Barack Obama, Duncan said. More details on the waivers will come in September, he said.

However, this particular volcano is different — it has acted as a reliable predictor of future much more explosive and consequential activity.
This volcano has only erupted three times since the 9th century, the last eruption occurring in the early 1820s. In the past, it has been followed by a much larger eruption by the nearby Katla volcano. Katla has erupted many times on its own, usually every 60 to 80 years, and last blew in 1918. It’s overdue..

Obama Spokesman: Obama Thinks We Are Still Working On Our Democracy But Don’t Worry, He’s Making Historic Steps In That Direction
It’s pretty clear that at best, Obama thinks the United States is just another country on the UN roll call, right between United Republic of Tanzania and Uruguay. At worst, he thinks the United States has done far more evil than good in the world.
While talking to the President of Kazakhstan (a country which the State Department says is a human rights violator), Obama seems to indicate there are some similarities between the countries.
NSC senior director Mike McFaul said on a conference call with reporters Sunday. “Both presidents agreed that you don’t ever reach democracy; you always have to work at it. And in particular, President Obama reminded his Kazakh counterpart that we, too, are working to improve our democracy.”
The Wall Street Journal’s Jonathan Weisman asked McFaul to clarify.
“You seemed to be suggesting there was some equivalence between their issues of democracy and the United States’ issues, when you said that President Obama assured him that we, too, are working on our democracy,” Weisman said. “Is there equivalence between the problems that President Nazarbayev is confronting and the state of democracy in the United States?”
“Absolutely not … There was no equivalence meant whatsoever,” McFaul said. “[Obama's] taken, I think, rather historic steps to improve our own democracy since coming to office here in the United States.”
