Obama’s Ratings Sink on Economy… Monday, Mar 12 2012

Gas prices are having an affect. I don’t see gas prices dropping to the levels that they were when the SCOAMF took office, so this is in play for the general election. His illegal use of the military in Libya, his blatant disregard for the Constitution, among numerous other issues, will likely sink him in the general. Most folks aren’t paying attention to what they should pay attention to in regards to Obama, but the gas prices are not something that he can hide. It’s out there every day, day in, day out, and people need to put gas in their cars, and it hurts, more and more. He will pay for that one.

Gas prices sink Obama’s ratings on economy, bring parity to race for White House

By Dan Balz and Jon Cohen, Published: March 11

Disapproval of President Obama’s handling of the economy is heading higher — alongside gasoline prices — as a record number of Americans now give the president “strongly” negative reviews on the 2012 presidential campaign’s most important issue, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Increasingly pessimistic views of Obama’s performance on the economy — and on the federal budget deficit — come despite a steadily brightening employment picture and other signs of economic improvement, and they highlight the political sensitivity of rising gas prices.

All of the above energy. The GOP response

This weekend, the chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, Doc Hastings (R-WA) provided the weekly Republican address to the nation. The topic, lest we forget about one of the most pressing issues of the day, is the real “all of the above” energy policy America needs. (Significantly different from what Barack Obama is delivering thus far.) Below is the video and transcript of the remarks. Not only should you listen, but we should make sure that both the President and the rest of Congress tunes in.

Obama OK with High Gas Prices… Thursday, Mar 1 2012

Thanks. Just fucking thanks. The economy sucks. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is more expensive now because of the price of gas. The SCOAMF and his minions don’t want to solve our energy problems, they want to make it worse so they can push their debunked global warming agenda.

In the mean time, all Americans suffer.

Fire this piece of shit now. If Obama is reelected in November, this country will not recover from his policies.

Energy Secretary Chu Admits Administration OK with High Gas Prices

COMMENTARY | President Barack Obama’s Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu uttered the kind of Washington gaffe that consists of telling the truth when inconvenient. According to Politico, Chu admitted to a House committee that the administration is not interested in lowering gas prices.

Chu, along with the Obama administration, regards the spike in gas prices as a feature rather than a bug. High gas prices provide an incentive for alternate energy technology, a priority for the White House, and a decrease in reliance on oil for energy.

The Heritage Foundation points out that hammering the American consumer with high gas prices to make electric and hybrid cars more appealing is consistent with Obama administration policy and Chu’s philosophy. That explains the refusal to allow the building of the Keystone XL pipeline and to allow drilling in wide areas of the U.S. and offshore areas.

Obama’s Gas Line
By Ralph R. Reiland

Alas for him, the hikes in gasoline prices are eclipsing his vaunted payroll tax cut.

The Washington politicians were in full self-congratulatory form recently when the Republicans and Democrats in Congress finally displayed a moment of bipartisanship and passed the payroll tax cut extension that keeps in place the two percentage point cut in the tax that funds Social Security.

It’s probably the dumbest tax to cut, given that Social Security ran $100 billion in the hole over just the past two years and the official projection from the Social Security and Medicare boards of trustees shows an ever-rising level of red ink: “After 2014, cash deficits are expected to grow rapidly as the number of beneficiaries continues to grow at a substantially faster rate than the number of covered workers.”

So Bad I Can’t Think of a Suitable Title

I have been warning my cattle industry clients FOR YEARS to get out of debt as quickly as possible, and not just for the obvious business reasons. I have been telling them that the government WILL NOT HONOR any contracts or terms on mortgages or notes when the system collapses and the banks are all nationalized. Your 20-year note at 5%? Yeah, the government will change that once your bank has been eliminated. Still there are scads of people who simply cannot comprehend a lawless environment wherein there is no rule of law, and thus no recourse of any kind.

Well, maybe you will believe me now, because the European Central Bank has just arbitrarily changed the terms of all of its Greek bonds with zero engagement with the market or any judicial review. They just changed the terms of their Greek bonds with the wave of their hand. In doing this, they have utterly SCREWED everyone else holding Greek paper, essentially making all other Greek bonds worthless with zero salvage value.

Nancy Pelosi Blocked Credit Card Reform While Investing Millions in Exclusive Visa Stock Offering… Monday, Nov 14 2011

Nancy Pelousy is rotten nasty lying piece of shit. Always has been. This corrupt scrunt isn’t alone in the shit that she’s done, but she sure as hell is at the head of the pack. It’s on both sides of the isle.

Fire them all.

Former Speaker of the House–and current Minority Leader–Nancy Pelosi apparently bought $1 million to $5 million of Visa stock in one of the most sought-after and profitable initial public offerings IPO in American history, thwarted serious credit card reform for two years, and then watched her investment skyrocket 203%.The revelation appears in Throw Them All Out, the new book by investigative journalist and Breitbart editor Peter Schweizer, which was the focus of 60 Minutes on CBS this evening, and which is featured in this week’s issue of Newsweek.

Climate Change… It’s the Sun Stupid! Tuesday, Aug 30 2011

This is too good not to post. Especially since algore is whining again. Hey all you global warming fanatics; it’s the sun stupid.

Been saying it for years. The sun heats up the planet. Man can’t do shit or shinola about it. Man ain’t got shit to do with it either.

Global warming/climate change is bullshit.

Got news for you leftist crackheads; the earth has climate. The climate changes EVERY. FUCKING. DAY! One day it’s hot, the next it’s not! (ooh, I’m a poet and didn’t know it).

The earth has a heating and cooling cycle that it does all by itself. Man has zero effect on this process. Basic biology should have taught that to you when you went to school. Then again, if it’s a libtard school, then you were probably indoctrinated with the pseudo-science that is the religion of the left.

And oh by the way, if you haven’t read Michael Crichton’s State of Fear, you’re missing out. It’s a most excellent book.

Here’s the particulars from the article:

Sun Causes Climate Change Shock – Telegraph Blogs.

If Michael Crichton had lived to write a follow-up to State of Fear, the plotline might well have gone like this: at a top secret, state of the art laboratory in Switzerland, scientists finally discover the true cause of “global warming”. It’s the sun, stupid. More specifically – as the Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark has long postulated – it’s the result of cosmic rays which act as a seed for cloud formation. The scientists working on the project are naturally euphoric: this is a major breakthrough which will not only overturn decades of misguided conjecture on so-called Man Made Global Warming but will spare the global economy trillions of dollars which might otherwise have been squandered on utterly pointless efforts to reduce anthropogenic CO2 emissions. However, these scientists have failed to realise just how many people – alarmist scientists, huckster politicians,  rent-seeking landowners like (the late Michael Crichton’s brilliant and, of course, entirely fictional creation) the absurd, pompous Sir Reginald Leeds Bt, green activists, eco-fund managers, EU technocrats, MSM environmental correspondents – stand to gain from the Man Made “Climate Change” industry. Their discovery must be suppressed at all costs. So, one by one, the scientists on the cosmic ray project find themselves being bumped off, until only one man remains and must race against time to prove, etc, etc…

Except of course in the real world the second part wouldn’t happen. No one would need to go to the trouble of bumping off those pesky scientists with their awkward, annoying facts and their proper actual research. That’s because the MSM and the scientific “community” would find it perfectly easy to suppress the story anyway, without recourse to severed brake cables or ricin-impregnated hand-washes or staged “suicides”.

The Latest Climate Gore: You Knew this was Coming

First Al Gore compared climate change skeptics to the 1930s appeasers of Nazism way back in his first foray into this thicket, his 1991 book, Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit.  (This book really does deserve to be read, even 20 years later, for its [perhaps] unknowing full-on homage to Heideggerian existentialism, betraying Gore’s essentially authoritarian if not in fact totalitarian instincts.  The subtitle alone–”Ecology and the Human Spirit”–gives the game away.)  Then when that didn’t work Gore compared climate skeptics to Holocaust deniers, and “tobacco” scientists, even though there were never any independent scientists who were doubtful about the link between smoking and cancer, unlike the large number of independent scientists who are doubtful about catastrophic global warming.

Parts of Britain suffer coldest summer for nearly two decades

As Britons return to work today after a soggy Bank Holiday weekend, official weather data reveals that average temperatures were significantly down on recent years.

The UK’s average temperature from June 1 to August 15 was only 57F (13.9C) – the lowest for 13 years.

For central England the average was 59F (15C), making it the coolest summer since 1993.

Helen Waite, a Met Office forecaster, said: “The average temperature for central England this summer has been just 15C – this sort of temperature is normally typical of September.

“Generally speaking, you would expect to see temperatures of at least 17C for this time of year.”

Perry Vs. Gore

Junk Science: The governor of a state under assault by the EPA takes on the patron saint of climate change over whether “warmers” or “deniers” benefit financially from the debate. Meanwhile, the nation loses.

Is Texas governor and presidential candidate Rick Perry a racist? According to the increasingly bombastic Al “expletive deleted” Gore, who was interviewed by Climate Reality Project collaborator Alex Bogusky on Ustream last Friday, Perry’s global warming skepticism qualifies him as one.

It’s the Tea Party’s Fault… Monday, Aug 8 2011

This is well said. I’ve been saying this all weekend. It’s the 535 assholes in Congress that created, sustained, and are now fighting to keep the status quo.

To you assholes on the left that want to point your Skelator like bony ass fingers in the direction of the Tea Party, I say fuck off. It’s douche-bags like you and your beloved douche-bag in Chief that got us into this mess in the first place. I include the RINO in Chief Bush in that equation.

Unfortunately, you assholes seem to think the way to solve debt is to spend more. It doesn’t work that way morons.

Media: Don’t Endorse John Kerry’s Crusade Against the Tea Party

John Kerry is on a crusade to destroy the Tea Party. To blame the Tea Party for the S&P downgrade is like blaming the Betty Ford Clinic for alcoholism. The entire existence of the Tea Party movement has been based on an attempt to stop the runaway spending of Washington – by the likes of John Kerry. Any media outlet that features his outrageous blame game remarks without challenging his serial dishonesty is giving aid and comfort to the crusade to vilify and extinguish conservative thought.

If this is the ‘Tea Party downgrade’ then I’m the fairy godmother. No, this is a well-coordinated effort by the left-wing to deflect bad news – very bad news – away from their very left-wing President Obama.

Let’s not forget the conservative movement’s position on the debt. The only legislation that would have met the criteria to avert a downgrade was the Cut Cap Balance proposal. It included $5.8 trillion in cuts, easily more than what S&P required. But President Obama vowed not to sign it, and the John Kerry Senate Democrats refused to consider it. The liberal media largely ignored this reality, too.

So nice try, left-wing propaganda machine. The President and his left-wing allies in Congress have earned their position in the hot seat. The left-wing media are aiding and abetting blatant falsehoods unless and until they call out Senator John Kerry as a deliberate liar.

Tax the Rich! NOT! Tuesday, Jul 19 2011

This is an excellent article by Thomas Sowell at IBD. It dispels the myth that taxing the rich more will somehow make the economy better.

Dissecting The Demagoguery About ‘Tax Cuts For The Rich’

By THOMAS SOWELL

Democrats’ insistence that the “rich” pay more in taxes is rivaled only by Republicans’ apparent inability or unwillingness to engage them on this specific issue. In the following excerpt from testimony submitted to the Senate Finance Committee, economist Thomas Sowell attempts to fill that void.

At various time and places, particular individuals have argued that existing tax rates are so high that the government could collect more tax revenues if it lowered those tax rates, because the changed incentives would lead to more economic activity, resulting in more tax revenues out of rising incomes, even though the tax rate was lowered.

This is clearly a testable hypothesis that people might argue for or against on either empirical or analytical grounds. But that is seldom what happens.

The Real Problem with ATMs

June 16, 2011 3:32 P.M.

By Peter Kirsanow

. . . is not so much that they destroy jobs, but that in at least 50 of 57 states you can’t conduct transactions in Austrian, making it difficult to withdraw enough cash to spread the wealth around to Midwesterners, who then become bitter and cling to guns and religion and antipathy toward people who aren’t like your doctor, who you can keep (if you like him) but you probably won’t because for extra cash he unnecessarily performs tonsillectomies and amputates the feet of people from Kansas, where a while back 10,000 were killed by a tornado that also air-raided villages and killed civilians in Afghanistan, from which we need to begin withdrawing troops by July so we can use the funds to save or create jobs for people who don’t use air pressure gauges to keep the tires on their cash-for-clunkers car properly inflated, requiring them to buy more gas than they otherwise would at $3.84 a gallon and thereby reducing their disposable income and causing them not to buy consumer products, resulting in slower GDP growth that can only be jumpstarted by another round of stimulus spending so the economy won’t go into a double-dip recession that would result in layoffs and a higher unemployment rate than we had even after the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that everyone knows was George Bush’s fault.

Economics is hard.
