MSM Revolting? Monday, Oct 26 2009

You better be worried. This asshole and his minions in the WH are going after freedom of speech. I only hope that the rest of the morons in the media, stand up to this. They’re next.

Mainstream media revolts against WH for war on Fox News
By Sister Toldjah

Tapper set the standard, and the rest are now following suit. Director Blue writes (via Dan Riehl):

Today the White House stepped up its attack on Fox News, announcing that the network would no longer be able to conduct interviews with officials as a member of the Press Pool. The Pool is a five-member group consisting of ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC organized by the White House Correspondents Association. Its membership is not subject to oversight by the government.

Confessions…. Tuesday, Oct 20 2009

Good stuff. Stay vigilant.

Confessions of a San Francisco Tea Party Mobstress
By Sally Zelikovsky

When I first donned my mobster’s hat last April, clinging to it as I do my guns and Bible, I was embarking on a journey not only into the unknown but also into the unknowable:  unknown because, like most of my fellow mobsters, I had never attended a protest before; unknowable because we were in the unnerving position of having to react to the endless barrage of “hope and change” that would be hurled our way.  But don that hat I did along with hundreds and now thousands of others in the Bay Area.

Bay Area mobsters take protesting seriously:  they study the issues in preparation for an event, confer with permit officers and police before and during an event (we even thank them), create pithy but catchy signage to deflate their anger and, why the police love us most of all, clean up after the protest.

Obama Controls Your Television… Saturday, Oct 17 2009

Breitbart has a few pieces on the health care fiasco as well as other liberal views that the television networks will be peddling next week. There are three parts to this.

LEAKED NETWORK MEMO REVEALS: Obama Controls Your Television Set
by John Nolte

On September 10th of this year the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) posted a press release informing the world that “from October 19-25, more than 60 network TV shows [will] spotlight the power and personal benefits of service,” and that this “unprecedented block of TV programming is the first wave of a multi-year ‘I Participate’ campaign.”

On its face this all sounds rather benign in that silly, liberal do-gooder kind of way. The networks have launched these kinds of campaigns before and other than some clunky exposition awkwardly inserted into your favorite show to meet the mandate — no harm, no foul.

Part II: Obama Controls Your Television Set — Search and Ye Shall Find…Left-Wing Advocacy
by Stage Right

My ten-year-old daughter loves “So You Think You Can Dance.” I suspect most eight to eighteen-year-old girls do.  So, my question to the producers of this hit show is: “Why are you pointing my daughter to a web page asking her to work at Planned Parenthood?”

Next week the networks will coordinate their shows’ story-lines to promote volunteerism.  At the September 10 press conference in New York announcing this unprecedented message coordination, Ashton Kutcher got his famous Twitter feed displayed on the Times Square jumbo screen.  It said:  “2Day, I activate my citizenship by participating. I Participate! Do u? www.iparticipate.org.”  (Damn he’s good at this whole “Under 14o characters” thing.)

Part III: Obama Controls Your Television Set — Serve.gov or Serf.dom?
by Patrick Courrielche

National service and volunteerism is a top priority of both the President and the First Lady. A broad effort has been launched to promote this priority. We’ve seen this in the May 12th White House briefing, the August 10th and 27th art community conference calls, and now in a new effort by the Entertainment Industry Foundation, entitled iParticipate, that is encouraging broadcast media to infuse national service stories into their show plots. The First Lady has even created a video expressing the importance of national service.

Assault on Free Speech… Wednesday, Oct 14 2009

And the assault on free speech continues from the White House. Yeah, it will affect liberal speech as well. Do it to one, you can do it to all. Keep silent at your own peril.

Fox News: WH told us last week Obama won’t do any interviews with us this year; Update: Nixonian?
by Allahpundit

What’s the significance of this, aside from it being your daily reminder that Wallace was right? Go watch the clip of Anita Dunn whining on CNN or just skip ahead here to 2:25. Kurtz specifically asked her whether The One would sit for an interview with one of Fox’s news shows this year. Her weaselly response was to say that he would — eventually — while neglecting to mention one tiny fact revealed below by Rosen: She’d already given Fox a hard no for the remaining three months of this year and pretty obviously didn’t want to acknowledge it on CNN lest it show just how petty The One is. In fact, so coincidental is Kurtz’s question in hindsight that I wonder if some Foxie didn’t tip him to the freeze-out before the interview so that he could put her on the spot about it. Although if that were true, why didn’t he follow up and reveal the freeze-out when she declined to do so?

The Lion has Roared… Wednesday, Aug 19 2009

This is an excellent read. I highly recommend it.

The lion that is the American people has roared and continues to roar its warning to the idiots in D.C.

Will they heed the warning, or just stand there as the lion devours them?

My guess is that their too stupid to figure it out.

Finally, Change We Can Believe In
by Tony Blankley

Those of us who are self-appointed advocates — who expend our efforts trying to persuade a few more people to our political point of view — must sit back in slack-jawed wonder when the great American public makes one of its great roars, as we all have been hearing in town hall meetings across the country.

In the animal kingdom, it is the lion that has the loudest roar. Scientists say it is made as a warning to advertise the animal’s presence. Are you listening, Washington? The current American public’s roar certainly is being heard around the world. Consider the following lead from Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper a few days ago:

“It was a scene of breathtaking political theatre. Arlen Specter, the veteran Pennsylvania senator, stood in stony-faced shock as one of his constituents delivered a furious tirade just a few feet away. ‘One day God is going to stand before you, and he’s going to judge you and the rest of your damn cronies,’ bellowed the senator’s grey-bearded adversary in an encounter replayed countless times on American television. ‘Then you will get your just desserts.’ Minutes later, a woman prompted a standing ovation with her emotional outpouring. ‘I don’t believe this is just health care. This is about the systematic dismantling of this country,’ she said, her voice quaking. ‘I don’t want this country turning into Russia, turning into a socialized country. What are you going to do to restore this country back to what our founders created, according to the Constitution?’”

Boycott GEICO… Thursday, Aug 13 2009

It’s time to fight back against the morons at HuffPo. Boycott the morons that pull their advertising from a host who dares speak the truth about the liberal’s messiah. Obama is a racist. Glenn Beck said so as well. Speak the truth and we’ll drop our adds is the game. Drop GEICO if you own it. There are much cheaper and better insurance carriers out there.

Boycott GEICO

Did you know the Puff Ho called on GEICO to pull their ads from Glenn Beck because he dared tell the truth?

Well, they did. Now I ask you to pull your business from GEICO. Seriously. NOW.

Freedom of Speech… Tuesday, May 19 2009

Freedom of speech is what makes America great. Restricting speech because it might offend someone is akin to handing over the rest of your freedoms all in one stroke. You can’t have a Constitutional Republic without freedom of speech. It just isn’t possible. When one type of speech is banned, what other type is next? You leftards need to wake up and smell the coffee. This applies to you as well.

Outlawing Opinion
by Chuck Norris

It greatly alarms me that Americans’ constitutional right of freedom of speech is being squeezed out of our culture.

Several years ago, I watched then-”20/20″ correspondent Diane Sawyer interview Saddam Hussein, who was dictator of Iraq at the time. She respectfully confronted him for the atrocities and executions he used as punishments for people who merely spoke out against him, his rule or his politics. Surprisingly naive of America’s constitutional basis, Saddam asked, “Well, what happens to those who speak against your president?” (He clearly was expecting that such speech was also a crime in the U.S. and punishable by law.) Shocked by his sheer ignorance of the U.S. — and somewhat at a loss for words herself — Diane quipped back in answering his question, “They host television talk shows!” Saddam’s facial expression revealed that he was totally confused by her answer.

Free Speech Monday, Feb 9 2009

On the free speech front:

The liberals in congress want to take that away too. Keep the masses uneducated about them and they’ll keep swallowing the MSMs bullshit hook, line and sinker. They just proved it in this last election. As long as the media is in the Democrat tank, the Democrats will own the country. No dissent, no opposite view point, perpetual dynasty.

You fuckers that vote Democrat better wake the fuck up. They are your rights as well that these morons are after.

Be Like Mike: Defend Free Expression

by Diana West

This week’s column is an open letter to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Dear Mayor Bloomberg,

Last week, in the presence of Dutch dignitaries visiting New York City to mark the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s remarkable first voyage on behalf of the Dutch East India Co. to “Nieu Amsterdam” (New York), you spoke of the need to safeguard freedom of expression. “Of course, I do not appreciate everything I hear,” you said, according to a translated report from the Amsterdam newspaper De Telegraaf. “But when you start restricting that, you step on a slippery slope. Before you know it, you can no longer say what you want.”

Stimulus to ban religious worship
‘This isn’t like a convenient oversight, this is intentional’

President Obama’s proposed economic stimulus plan makes a deliberate – and unconstitutional – attempt to censor religious speech and worship on school campuses across the nation, according to a lawyer who argued related cases before the U.S. Supreme Court 20 years ago and won them all.

“This isn’t like a convenient oversight. This is intentional. This legislation pokes its finger in the eyes of people who hold religious beliefs,” Jay Sekulow, chief of the American Center for Law and Justice, told WND today.

His was the organization that decades ago argued on behalf of speech freedom on school campuses, winning repeatedly at the U.S. Supreme Court. Since then, the 2001 Good News Club v. Milford Central School District decision was added, clarifying that restricting religious speech within the context of public shared-use facilities is unconstitutional.

The problem in the proposed stimulus bill comes from a provision that states: “PROHIBITED USES OF FUNDS. – No funds awarded under this section may be used for – (C) modernization, renovation, or repair of facilities – (i) used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity; or (ii) in which a substantial portion of the functions of the facilities are subsumed in a religious mission.”

The wording that specifically targets religious speech already has been approved by the majority Democrats in the U.S. House – all GOP members opposed it. In the Senate, Jim DeMint, R-S.C., proposed an amendment to eliminate it, but again majority Democrats decided to keep the provision targeting religious instruction and activities.

Too busy today to blog. I’ll make up for it tomorrow.

In the mean time, check out Fitna. It’s hate speach according to the Dutch. Morons.

Christianity Under Attack Saturday, Apr 5 2008

Christianity is under attack, and I won’t be quiet about it. If you are a Christian, or not, but believe in freedom of speech, and freedom of religion, that the Constitution guarantees, then don’t stand idly by and let the left’s homosexual agenda, the school indoctrination of Islam and their intolerance towards Christians continue.

Speak out against this whenever you encounter it and write your Representatives and Senators to let them know how you feel about this.

In the mean time, you can go to www.silencingchristians.com and view a series that addresses this issue. Don’t let this continue.

The fourth episode of “Speechless … Silencing the Christians” will air this Saturday night, April 5, at 8:30 p.m. (EDT) on INSP cable network. This is the fourth episode of “Speechless.”

Watch, and then forward the information to your family and friends!

This episode is titled “Olivia’s Song.” It tells the story of a little girl who was prohibited from singing about God in her school talent show. You can watch the program on INSP cable TV network. See if INSP is available in your area. Or you can see the newest episode online at www.silencingchristians.com.

You can view the fourth episode for free on the Web, but you must register to watch the program. Heavy online traffic at www.silencingchristians.com may slow down your computer. If so, we advise you to come back later and watch it. The program will be available for viewing all week.

All three of the previous episodes are also available for you to watch at www.silencingchristians.com.
