I guess you are 10 years behind us in the UK. We have had years of the Labour govt positively encouraging immigration from Pakistan and multicultralism simply because they knew most immigrants would vote for them.
Any criticism of immigration was effectively demonised as “racialist”, so oppostion parties were afraid to mention it..
Now large cities in the UK are at risk of Muslim majorities voting for Sharia law. Even the gutless Archbishop of Canterbury is afraid to oppose it.
Of course the concept of multicultarism is meaningless anyway. The greatest tensions and inter-community violence are between black and asian communities, that tend to live side by side.
