Here’s a subject for ya. An Army Sgt. took credit for heroic acts of a soldier in his command which then got him a Silver Star. My soldier was injured during the ambush and when he tried to seek proper care his command tried to reprimand him. He fought back and his silver star award was downgraded and his SGT had his own name put on the paperwork. I spoke to members of his unit who verified this. I know hard to believe it happened but it did. Apparently even a general became aware of it but did nothing to correct it. I guess that would be and embarrassment to the service to admit they have selfish leaders in their ranks huh.
