Obama Remorse on Wall Street… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

Obama is running this country into the ground. He doesn’t listen to his own economic advisors.

Burned by Obama
Wall St. execs feel betrayed
By CHARLES GASPARINO

In the depths of the financial crisis last year, people like Morgan Stanley’s John Mack, BlackRock’s Larry Fink, Greg Fleming (then of Merrill Lynch), JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon and Goldman Sachs’ Lloyd Blankfein were telling everyone that candidate Barack Obama was a “moderate,” and moderation was what this country needed.

What a difference a year makes. They won’t admit it in public — but in private conversations, the top guys on Wall Street are feeling burned.

The guy who seemed like such a steady voice — vowing to curb runaway spending and restoring order to the banking system and the economy as a whole — is instead so driven to achieve his big-government policy goals that he and his policy people are ignoring their own economic advisers on the severe economic costs that his agenda will cause.

Health Care Scam… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

So. How’s that health care thing working out for you? Maybe not so damn good.

Nothing for Everyone
By Randall Hoven

Just about all of us want some kind of health care reform.  But different people want different things from that reform.  One trouble with crafting legislation that would make some people happy is that it would make other people unhappy.  But the proposals put forth so far by Democrats, and supported by President Obama, have the unique gift of satisfying virtually no one.  ObamaCare, inasmuch as there is such a thing, is bound to disappoint you, no matter what you’d like to see in health care reform.

If you think you’d get free health care, you wouldn’t.  Instead, you’d be forced to buy health insurance, under threat of prison and enforced by the IRS.  If you prefer spending your money on a better apartment over health insurance, and then taking your chances of going bankrupt if you get really sick or in a bad accident, you would no longer have such a choice.

Subsidized Health Care: a view from the exam room
By Linda Halderman, MD

I learned a lot about the cost of health care when I had a hybrid general surgery practice in California ’s rural San Joaquin Valley.  My practice consisted of uninsured women with breast cancer combined with a smaller percentage of cosmetic patients whose cash payments for “vanity care” subsidized the treatment of women unable to pay for needed medical treatment.

Although patients seeking cosmetic services tend to be healthy, I evaluated them like any other patient.  I asked about medical history, allergies, medications and genetic disorders.

Gore and Google in on the Lie… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

More BS from Google/Gore on the global warming myth.

Gore and Google: Pants on Fire
By Brian Sussman

Earth’s self-anointed global warming czar, Al Gore, has teamed up with his business partners at Google (he’s an Advisory Board member) to make the latest pitch for a planet that is about to burst into a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.  Together they have created an internet video which heralds Google’s entrance into the world of climate forecasting.

The video champions Google’s new mapping tool which simulates a 3D map of the world predicting the effects of climate change through the year 2100.  They claim their data is provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.  According to Google, the mapping tool was introduced in partnership with the Danish Government ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Convention in December.  In otherwords, this is a visual ruse to scare the hell of out of the uninformed masses.

Robin Tells it Like it Should Be… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

Another great piece by Robin of Berkley.

Sympathy for the Devil
By Robin of Berkeley

How concerned should we be about Obama?  Is he a potential dictator with a weird cult following who could destroy this country?

To put it more bluntly, does Obama have the potential for inflicting evil on us?  Or, if he’s a puppet, are the ones holding the strings malevolent?

These may be the most crucial and urgent questions of our times.  Is Obamaphobia a legitimate reaction to an angry president with a vendetta, surrounded by psycho czars?  Or is the imagination running amok?

Saturn Deal Collapses… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

Saturn takes a dive. Another Government Motors flop. 13,000 jobs not saved, or created. Thanks for playing.

Penske-Saturn deal collapses after Renault-Nissan backs out
By Tim Higgins

General Motors said today it would shut down Saturn after respected Detroit businessman Roger Penske shocked GM and 350 Saturn dealers by saying that his plans to buy the storied brand had fallen apart.

The announcement came a day before GM and its dealers expected the deal to be finalized. The failure could cost as many as 13,000 jobs at dealerships nationwide and GM.

Penske’s plans for Saturn depended on securing another manufacturer to build future vehicles — a critical part of deal that fell apart when the board of directors for that unidentified automaker rejected the arrangement.

Michelle Obama Sacrificing for the Children… Thursday, Oct 1 2009

She’s sacrificing for the children…

Sacrifice? You have got to be kidding. WTF over? Someone tell me how the hell you can take this woman seriously at all. Either one of them actually. Morons.

Michelle Obama: It’s a ’sacrifice’ to travel to Europe to pitch for the Olympics. But I’m doing it for the kids.
By Byron York

In her speech in Copenhagen today, First Lady Michelle Obama said her trip to Denmark, along with the travel of her “dear friend” and “chit-chat buddy” Oprah Winfrey, as well as tomorrow’s visit by President Obama, is a “sacrifice” on behalf of the children of Chicago and the United States. “As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days,” the first lady told a crowd of people involved in the Chicago project, “so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home.”
