Cut welfare? That’s on the table in Kaleefornia. There needs to be a huge cut in every government sector within the state. I say 10% across the board for the next 4 years with no increase in any spending whatsoever.

Of course, all the sob stories that would accompany this are already being thrown about…

This may be the way to go. I like the idea of a flat tax that is the same for everyone. Make the tax system fair. The rich will still pay a lot in taxes. They have more money to spend and will always spend it.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said today that he would like to see such “radical” proposals come out of a commission now studying an overhaul of the state’s tax system. The governor told the editorial board of the Sacramento Bee that he hoped the commission would not be afraid to propose something like “a 15%  straight tax.”
