This may be a necessity for America if the F22 gets canned. Pretty nifty design upgrades. This is also a threat to the JSF as far as customer base goes. It allows modifications where the F-35 does not.

I must confess to bias here. The F-15 has always been my favorite plane. The sleek lines are just too sexy…

The Joint Strike Fighter is expected to suffer another, yet unexpected blow, with the Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] introduction of a new version of the F-15 dubbed ‘Silent Eagle’ (F-15SE). The new stealth configured Strike Eagle is being tailored for an undisclosed international customer, requiring enhanced stealth, and higher survivability level than those provided by current fighters. “The F-15 Silent Eagle is designed to meet our international customers’ anticipated need for cost-effective stealth technologies, as well as for large and diverse weapons payloads,” said Mark Bass, F-15 Program vice president for Boeing. Accordingly, Bass considers the new fighter a ‘balanced, affordable approach designed to meet future survivability needs.’ According to the Korea Times, the Silent Eagle will be Boeing’s bid for South Korea’s third phase F-X fighter jet acquisition program, to begin by 2012. Earlier, Seoul officials said the third phase program would focus on obtaining the so-called fifth-generation stealth fighters. The F-X aims to procure 120 high-end warplanes by 2020, and Boeing already won the previous two deals with its F-15K fighters.

When Will Obamas Stop Lying to Military Families?

We all know that the sacred trust does not end when the uniform comes off. That’s why it’s time to build a 21st-century VA. No more red tape. It’s time to give every service member electronic copies of their medical records and service records upon discharge so that they can immediately get the services that they’ve earned. No more shortfalls. We’ll fully fund VA health care. No more delays. We’ll pass on-time budgets. No more means testing. It’s time to allow every veteran into the VA system.

You know, I’m becoming extremely tired of Barack and Michelle Obama lying to the American public and military families:

It’s been at least 8 years since America has had such a self-absorbed and selfish First Lady. In a recent interview the Far Left wife of the antiwar president was just too impressed with herself for noticing that the military families actually sacrifice for their country here in America.

This is something Michelle Obama picked up on last year during the campaign– seven years into the War on Terror.

Team Obama even went as far as to suggest that military families “had probably have never been invited to the White House.”

Thus far he is a dismal failure. I know it’s early in his term, but all indications are that it will continue. And the media will be a willing accomplice until the American people are truly fed up with it. That loud resounding boom you hear will be the collective 52% minus the wackiest of the left, pulling their heads out of their ass.

Obama’s failure to lead

President Obama was called upon to lead and has utterly failed, and in less than two months. From the stimulus package that won’t stimulate even Chris Matthews’ leg, to the continuing series of ethically questionable political appointments, through an outrageous Congressional spending binge that included unfettered earmarks, he has passed on all the easy leadership opportunities.  What will he do on the tougher issues?

Recall that the presidential race was a dead heat when the economic crisis hit last fall.  Obama’s legendary calm, cool, and collected manner was viewed as better for dealing with a crisis and he pulled ahead.  We know now that this persona is a media-hyped marketing fiction devised by his campaign.  His comical reliance on the teleprompter (at a rodeo!) has become the butt of late-night jokes, and in his unscripted moments he’s like an unprepared high school debater fumbling for his lines.

The politician as leader has always been a curious formulation.  Politicians are rarely leaders and yet that’s what children are taught in school.  Last fall’s elections were viewed by teachers as an opportunity to show children that electing our leaders is the beauty of our democratic system.

He’s backed off, for now. I don’t trust him. Not one bit. He is a left wing zealot and will stop at nothing to socialize America. And as is par for the course with socialists, they dream of ways to gut the military. They have this fixation that it is the military that has wronged them in some fashion, or other.

Obama is no exception to this. He might actually be a bit more blatant than is normal for a socialist Democrat.

My father is a Vietnam veteran.  He received two purple hearts for his service to his country.  He is not an outspoken man, nor is he the type to proclaim that someone owes him for his service.  Although he took shrapnel in his leg and shoulder, and lost a good percentage of his hearing in the war, he came back and started a family and grew up to be a successful and proud American.

As my father has aged, his hearing has deteriorated even further, and he requires the use of hearing aids.  Because his hearing was damaged in the war, he goes down to the VA to receive them, free of charge.   This is a small price to pay by the government for my father’s service, and the service of thousands of men and women like him.

Up until this point in American history, no President has ever dreamed of denying our men and women of our Armed Services medical care for their injuries and forcing them to use their private insurance.  That is, until the Agitator in Chief came into power.

Update: in response to public outrage, the Obama plan has been withdrawn.

Even Democrats Oppose AWB Thursday, Mar 19 2009

Pro-gun Democrats may help keep the AWB from rearing its ugly head again. They’ve actually warned the AG that he needs to back the hell off of this issue. They also warned the administration that there will be an active fight against any new AWB, or any similar gun control measures.

Of course, one of my Senators, Feinstein is the moron that wrote the original AWB. If I could fire that bitch, I’d have done it 10 years ago. Right along with her partner in crime Boxer.

At least Pelosi is against introducing any new AWB. For now, at any rate.

That’s good news.

The bad news is that there are around 20, or so, RINOs that would vote FOR a new AWB. Those 20 should be targeted for removal from Congress. Just saying.

Actually, I think the majority in Congress should be fired. They are the reason we are in the mess we are in now. Again, just saying.

Pro-gun Democrats oppose new assault weapon ban

WASHINGTON (AP) – Sixty-five House Democrats said Wednesday that they would oppose any attempt by the Obama administration to revive a ban on military-style weapons that President Bill Clinton signed into law in 1994 and President George W. Bush let expire.

The pro-gun Democrats, led by Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., wrote Attorney General Eric Holder that they would “actively oppose any effort to reinstate the 1994 ban, or to pass any similar law.”

They urged the administration to avoid a “long and divisive fight over a gun control issue” at a time when Washington needs to concentrate on the economic crisis.

The House letter came a day after Montana’s two Democratic senators, Max Baucus and Jon Tester, wrote a similar letter to Holder saying the Justice Department should enforce existing laws before considering new gun ownership restrictions. “We will strongly oppose any legislation that will infringe upon the rights of individual gun owners,” they said.
