Happy Ending Wednesday, Nov 19 2008

Happy Ending

Between 2007 and 2008, I got to know a man in South Baghdad whose codename was “Bishop.”  This is the short story of his life. His parents were Kurdish Sunnis.  They moved to Baghdad 34 years ago – recently married and excited to make a new life for themselves and create a family.  Bishop’s real name was Bashar Akram Ameen; the name given to him when he was born on October 6, 1978 in the Abu Ghraib apartments in Baghdad.  Bashar had three sisters and one brother.  His schooling included graduating from a Baghdad high school in the class of ’96 and attending the Agriculture College of Baghdad University from 1997 until 2002 when he graduated.  America had just set its sights on toppling Saddam.

Shortly after graduating, Bashar began service in the Iraqi Army Reserve, but that lasted only three months, because the U.S. crushed a great part of the Iraqi Army and then officially dissolved the rest.  For three months, Bashar was one of those unemployed young men we worried about.  He got a job in October of 2003 as a bodyguard for an Iraqi judge.  His first job didn’t last long because insurgents assassinated the judge.  Feeling lost and a bit frightened, Bashar decided to look for a “safer” job, and began interpreting for, as he called it, “the Sally Port Security Company” in al-Mansour, Baghdad.  Insurgents in his neighborhood figured out that he was working for an American company, and on February 21, 2006, as he left his job at 6:00 pm, they started shooting at him in his car, “…but I miraculously survived,” Bashar  explained to me, “and that was the reason to leave my job at that company.”

Prop 8 Continued Wednesday, Nov 19 2008

More on Prop 8. The left-wing assholes of this state are still at it. And the leadership in this state is still, nowhere to be found. It is shameful that these idiots are allowed to do this. If this had gone the other way, I guarantee that this would not have happened. The churches would not have gone into Gavin Newsome’s San Fran Freako doing the things that the homosexual mafia is doing now.

If anything, I think that the straight and pro-prop 8 folks should start boycotting any and all businesses that cater to the homosexual mafia. I for one will do so. So, fuck off Ford, GM, and the rest of you idiots that think that homosexuality is the “in thing” these days.

I am still at a loss though. I think the homos should go into Watts, and South Central L.A. and preach their bullshit there. I am sure it won’t be such an easy mark. Protest there and tell them how they are bigots, and such. You morons don’t have a clue.

The insane rage of the same-sex marriage mob

Before election day, national media hand-wringers forged a wildly popular narrative: The Right was, in the words of New York Times’ columnist Paul Krugman, gripped by “insane rage.” Outbreaks of incivility (some real, but mostly imagined) were proof positive of the extremist takeover of the Republican Party. The cluck-cluckers and tut-tutters shook in fear.

But when the GOP took a beating on Nov. 4, no mass protests ensued. No nationwide boycotts erupted. Conservatives took their lumps and began the peaceful post-defeat process of self-flagellation, self-analysis, and self-autopsy. In fact, there’s only one angry mob gripped by “insane rage” in the wake of campaign 2008: The mob of left-wing, same-sex marriage activists incensed at their defeat in California. Voters there approved a traditional marriage initiative, Proposition 8, by 52-48.

Instead of introspection and self-criticism, however, the sore losers who opposed Prop. 8 have responded with threats, fists, and blacklists.

Are Lawmakers Immune From Lawsuits? Wednesday, Nov 19 2008

I do not believe that Congress critters should be allowed immunity for everything that they spout off. I can understand it at certain points, but when you slander other people, that should not be one of them.

Are Lawmakers Immune From Lawsuits?

A federal appellate court will decide whether to uphold a judge’s order to depose a congressman sued for defamation by the U.S. Marine sergeant he accused of engaging in “cold-blooded murder and war crimes” in Iraq.

The key questions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia are whether the veteran lawmaker has absolute immunity and did he act within the scope of employment in making the outrageous statements to the media about a private citizen. A three-judge panel is hearing arguments today.

The case involves John Murtha, the controversial Pennsylvania Democrat who recently made headlines for calling his constituents “racist” and “really redneck.” The 17-term U.S. representative claimed that Marines involved in the 2005 Haditha slayings were cold-blooded killers and he compared the event to the deliberate 1968 massacre of hundreds of civilians at My Lai in Vietnam.

Army Development Wednesday, Nov 19 2008

The Army is developing some good shit. This is high on the list of potential life savers for the 21st century.

‘Quick Kill’ Active protection System to Protect Current, Future Combat Vehicles

The U.S. Army is developing a family of Active Protection Systems (APS) as part of its Future Combat Systems (FCS) ground-force modernization program. FCS is designed to bring Soldiers into the 21st century by equipping them with state-of-the-art vehicles, communication capabilities, sensors and protective systems. In the summer of 2008 the system has passed a major milestone by completing successful stationary and moving target intercept tests. These tests represent a significant step in design verification testing for the system, which includes defeating multiple incoming projectiles simultaneously and while on the move — a unique capability of the APS. More Anti-Prop 8 Bullshit: Tuesday, Nov 18 2008

More Anti-Prop 8 Bullshit:

This is getting really ridiculous. Why the hell aren’t the state Attorney General and the Governor standing up for the people that voted for this in a fair election? Does the electoral process mean nothing anymore?

Thoughts, Past and Future

Why blame the Mormons?

All the exit polls suggest that the notion of gay marriage was rejected in California, largely by huge Hispanic and African-American majorities, enhanced by recent Obama voter registration drives. Why then do activists picket churches, when the larger anti-gay marriage constituency could be found in East Palo Alto, South Central Los Angeles or Parlier? Wouldn’t it be better to bus gay activists into those communities to do teach-ins and public demonstrations?

Statement from Judicial Watch Tuesday, Nov 18 2008

Obama is just another Clinton shill. Look at all the idiots from the Clinton administration that are involved with this one.

Judicial Watch Statement on Obama’s Selection of Clinton Impeachment Lawyer Greg Craig to Serve as White House Counsel

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton issued the following statement today in response to Barack Obama’s decision to hire Clinton impeachment lawyer and controversial Washington, DC, attorney Greg Craig as White House Counsel.

“It is disturbing that Barack Obama will allow Bill Clinton’s impeachment lawyer Greg Craig to serve as his White House Counsel. Many thought Barack Obama had beaten the Clinton political machine. Instead, he appears to have embraced it. Given his defense of Bill Clinton’s lies and obstruction of justice, what sort of legal advice will Mr. Craig give to President Obama? Will it all depend on what the meaning of ‘is’ is?

“Not only did Greg Craig defend the worst of the worst of the Clinton scandals but he also defended the violent government raid that delivered Elian Gonzalez back to Castro’s Cuba. In fact, we believe that Greg was working with communist Cuban government during the Elian affair. Greg Craig is the wrong lawyer to serve as White House Counsel in the Obama White House.

“Barack Obama’s White House personnel decisions show that he doesn’t seem to care about government integrity.”

How Obama Got Elected Tuesday, Nov 18 2008

How Reichsführer Obama got elected:

This comes from John Ziegler

12 Obama supporters were chosen for this poll. Here’s what was discovered:

Zogby Poll

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet…..

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

This is probably why a lot of people think that you should have to pass a basic test to vote. The people are prime examples of media bias, as well as their inability to find out the truth. I often wonder how many people regret their vote right now. I also wonder how many morons will see the light right after the Reichsführer gets sworn in and proceeds to fuck this country up with the aid of Congress.

Don’t forget, the 19th is national buy ammo day! Get stocked up people. There may be some issues that need fixin’ here shortly.

These people are idiots. I imagine it is typical of the morons that voted for Obama

Mom Monday, Nov 17 2008

Today, Mom would have turned 66.

She died a year ago September 2nd. I miss her a lot. She was full of life, even as she battled that fucking monster known as cancer.

She was one of those people that could make a friend just by meeting them, right there on the spot.

Her personality was a gift that she gave to others in being friendly and warm. She enjoyed life. She knew how to laugh at it too. I inherited the laugh at life part from her. Thank God.

I hope Mom is enjoying her time in Heaven, I am sure she is. She is probably friends with everyone by now.

Rest in peace Mom.
